It's all RG III and Shanny just classlessly rode him into ground. Damn, that will be discussed AD NAUSEUM this week and Shanny will have FEW supporters.
That was crazy. I thinking the same ,one win isn't worth risking a career.
Without self-knowledge there is no individuality
hes gonna get wrecked in the press for this. hopefully he didnt damage griffen's knee permanently
FSU Ambassador to the masses
Shanahan did what Dusty Baker does to pitchers.
RG III's career won't last long with games like today.
Being a Skins fan I have to agree. RG3 shoulda been benched in favor of Kirk after he came up lame in the first quarter.
The undertones you could squeeze out of my post pervade all of sports.
What if RG3 wanted to play
He's not the boss, so, tough.
With the field in that condition and RG3 limping around in the first, Shanahan should absolutely have pulled him.
He probably did want to, but why risk longterm injury?
Then, like, the coach says no. The player wanting to play is essentially assumed in these situations.
Cutlers reputation was destroyed for sitting with a messed up ligament in his knee and now RG3 is getting slammed for doing the opposite. America can't have it both ways. I hate people sometimes.
Teein' Off on Links
It's the playoffs, he's a team captain, he loves the game, his teammates, no person would sit in that situation. I wouldn't have no matter what my doctors or coaches said
Agreed. Both of them are paid to win games. This board is loaded with pu$@@"$.
Pinch hitting = playing QB?
RG3 should have put his pride aside. He knew his knee was bad. Dr Andrews didn't even clear him to play. I appreciate his warrior mentality but he also needs to be understanding of the situation. Yes he won over the hearts of his team, but at what cost? Plus id argue he already had his teams respect. He was already named a team captain. No one in that locker room would have doubted his toughness if he said Cousins is our best chance right now. Especially since the team had been there before and Cousins had helped the team win in a similar situation just weeks ago.

I wouldn't send Ted Williams out with a broken arm with, so...
Hello, you play to win the game. You play...to win the game.
No I did not lose a sig bet, but I am really really really ridiculously good looking.
Lol. I said earlier in the year the year that shanahan would ruin him. Didn't realize he would do it in such obvious fashion
Not guilty y'all got to feel me
The same Shanahan that gave up on the team, after the loss to the Panthers?
He said he was gonna be evaluating players and seeing who's gonna be there for yrs to come, since he thought the season was over then.
I guess RG3 hadn't proved it yet.
Ted Williams is dead. FYI.
100% blame on the center or you could blame the OC, shouldn't be calling shotgun plays with RG3 in that condition.
Philip Rivers played on torn ACL in AFC championship game.
If the kid wants to play, you play him. Period.
I said before that you can't consistently run a read option in the NFL. Eventually, the QB will get killed. They can sprinkle it in every now and then, but they need to run things more traditionally next year.
I understand, but Kirk Gibson wasn't risking much injury wise rolling the pole up there.
If it were Eck throwing with the injury going it would be a fair comparison.
I don't think people are mad at Shannahan because they lost, but because he mortgaged the kids future.

Yea but if they would have won he would have been a mastermind.. It is always a lose lose when things go bad.
If they would have put Cousins when they were up 14-0 and he blew the lead they would have been questions as to why they would have pulled griffen when the offense was scoring.. Can't have it both ways.
