Make the fans happy for a year? Then take Clowney with the sure #1 pick next year, trade up to get a QB after him. Take Lacy in the second round this year?

IMO yes. Geno isn't a fit for them but I have a feeling they draft him in the second round.
I agree, I wouldn't take any QB this year unless I absolutely had too. Tebow can suck in Jax but the peeps would still watch. Next year will have some good QB's.
I think Geno would be a great fit in Jacksonville. That is where I have wanted him to go for awhile. Good running game, good weapon with Blackmon... They just need a QB. Geno can be that QB.
No. It's too late for that.
Remember when Geno was lock for #1 overall because all the mock drafts had him there?
He was never a lock for #1.
I could have sworn that's what you said.
Nope. I said he was the best QB in the draft. Most feel the same as I do. If the teams drafting early don't want to take a QB that early, nothing he can do about that. The Bills went full retard with EJ at 16. That said, I'm glad the Bills took EJ, because I think Jacksonville is a much better landing spot for Geno than Buffalo is.
Well you did say he wasn't falling to the Cardinals at 7. Clearly that was very inaccurate. Geno is rated #1 from a few guys, but some noteworthy analysts disagree. Cosell being the main one.
"Every mock draft that I have seen has Geno going #1. He is a pro style QB that played in a spread system and STILL tore it up.
Would rather him fall to the Cardinals, as I think that is a better situation, but its not going to happen."
As a Jags fan, I would LOVE this draft if this is how it worked out. But it wont and we will take a punter in the 2nd and a LB from South D
All I can think is poor Clowney if the Jags have the 1st pick again
That is because I thought one of the Raiders, Jags, Bills, Browns, ect... would want a QB. They decided to go after other needs like lineman. Can't blame them for that. Also, that was before the Chiefs traded for Alex Smith. If they hadn't made that trade, they would have taken a QB with no question about it. That is why I didn't see Geno falling. I think Jacksonville takes him today.
I heard some jags insider saying they will take Barkley
I'd trade down 5-6 picks, picking up a few extra crucial picks, take Menelik Watson to totally own the OT position and then sign Tebow. They have to give people in the area a single reason why they should show up, buy a jersey, etc. You tell Tebow he's got one year to prove it and get an OC that runs a spread option offense. He will suck but not epicly and you pick 3rd or 4th or so next year and you get the QB of the future either in Manziel, Bridgewater, or Braxton Miller.
I agree with everything but Miller and Watson
Brax Miller, an NFL qb?
Barkley has a chance to be good but he needs to be a backup like Rodgers was for a few years
The Bills locked up the number 1 spot for Clowney with their draft pick last night...
Hasn't watched a tOSU game with Miller at QB obviously.
Kid is a great college QB, but he is not close to an NFL QB at this point.
Bet on that?
Menelik Watson is the no fluff version of Seantrel. Who I think will blow up finally this year. Dude's two years and a good OL coach away from being a top 3 RT in the NFL.
Haha at everybody once again going by what media says, and think we should take Tebow when we have not had a blackout in a few years like the other two florida teams in Tampa and Miami and other teams around the league like Browns, etc.
I think the Tebow hype has sailed. Experiment ova.
The last chance he got he won a playoff game, outperforming the Cowboys organization single handedly. He's not that good but seriously, folks saying he is barely ambulatory as a QB are just repeating what they've heard.
You could make the same argument for Vince Young. Look at his win/loss record, it's not bad at all. But is he a long-term answer? Not even close. Tebow is more of a fad. People want him to be good, but he's just not. Not at QB anyway.
