They have 7 wins over teams that were in the Top 15 and if they win today, it will be 8. Seems like a 3 would be a slam dunk.
No. Can't have them above IU OSU or MSU. Should be a 4 regardless of what happens today, but 2 wins over IU is impressive. 4th best team in the conference.

Need to win today to have any chance. Probably a 4 though
IU is a 1. OSU is a 2. MSU is a 2 or 3. Wisconsin should be a 3. Michigan a 3 or 4

Michigan is a 4 and its not necessarily that Wisconsin doesn't maybe deserve a 3 seed, its there are other teams that deserve it more.
MSU will be a 3
Probably but Wisconsin should be right there with them then. Wisconsin has had a much more difficult schedule and only has 3 more losses. Also Michigan State only has 3 wins against teams in the top 15 vs 7 for Wisconsin (going for their 8th today)
Much more difficult schedule..... Wait what?
Just realized its st Patrick's day and you're probably loaded. Carry on.
Much more difficult schedule? List please...
Also for the in conference schedule I used the rankings at the time of the game. Obviously Illinois and Minnesota are not currently ranked. If we do games with only Michigan, Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Wisconsin (the 5 big ten schools that are ranked) you will see these records
MSU 9 games - 4 wins 5 losses
Wisconsin 9 games 5 wins 3 losses (1 game yet to be played)

I have no idea...what was Wisky's record in that OOC schedule? MSU's?
Michigan yes. MSU no. MSU played a harder schedule, had a better record, and swept them.
Not necessarily higher than Michigan State, but I think it's very fair to say they deserve to have the same seed as they do.
Your trolling is going to scare away good posters. This isn't the thread for that.
Gonna need to start a petition to keep Bama posters out of Bball conversations.
Overall games against teams that ENDED in the top 25
Michigan State 11 games, 4 wins, 7 losses
Wisconsin 12 games 5 wins 6 losses (1 game yet to be played)
How about top 15 teams??
MSU 9 games, 2 wins, 7 losses
Wisconsin 11 games 5 wins, 5 losses (1 game yet to be played)
Yes, Wisconsin has played a more difficult schedule.
RPI SOS please? Or Kenyon or saragin if you prefer? The only ranking that thinks wiscys schedule was harder is the kpm ranking.
Izzo goes a round or two farther than he's supposed to almost every year, don't think hes overrated at all.
Not sure what you are talking about. Saragin ranks MSU as #1 and Wisconsin as #2, but that is through friday. I would say Indiana + Ohio State is greater than Ohio State. Wisconsin will have the harder SOS after today according to Saragin as well.
He's arguing seeding while ignoring the metrics the comitee uses to determine seeding.
When has he choked?

Additionally Saragin ranks Wisconsin 8th in the country and Michigan State 9th in the country using his predictor ratings. I'm not sure why you are so hell bent saying its unreasonable for Wisconsin and Michigan State to have the same seed. They are neck in neck in all metrics.
