Is Kim Jong-un really being this dumb?
Apparently he is.
I know China protects North Korea, anybody with a reason why though?
It's about time someone blows that chit hole up before North Korea starts a nuclear war. I don't understand how they try and strong arm everybody yet nothing is done.
Will never happen.
I'm starting to wonder if NK has some silent allies in this whole thing. Either that or Jong-un is really, REALLY stupid. Seriously, you can't go around doing sh!t like this and threatening the most imposing military on the planet unless you have an ace in the hole or you don't understand that we could raze your entire nation to the ground.
They'll back off their saber-rattling, agree to go back to six party talks, get money for aid, rinse, repeat.
Un knows their place in the world. He cant be oblivious to it. He has seen the real facts and numbers, it's not like he actually thinks he can drop a bomb on our east coast or survive the next three days if he did.
He knows they are small enough to where they can be a real bur in the saddle and cause a bunch of havoc and yet no one will invade/declare war. Then he can use it to really impress his people. They are slowly opening the country up technologically. He is trying to retain a tight grip.
Obviously he wouldn't dare sling any weapons towards our shores; he's not that crazy. But dropping the armistice and caught up in the heat of the moment trying to put on a show of power and control, who's to say he won't do something horrific to South Korea?
This is about the 6th time they've ignored the treaty. 3rd time since 2005. Attention whores will attention whore. Many posters here know about that.
I tend to agree, but North Korea does stupid irrational things on the regular, trying to apply logic to his rule is a fools errand.
I still don't understand why China doesn't just deal with North Korea though. That little country is broke as hell, why not just take it over themselves?
China doesn't want millions of starving North Koreans wandering into their country.
That's logical enough, but China could deal with Kim Jong whatever and not open the boarders between the two countries. Just get that country out of oppression and it might have some potential.
Just seems like North Korea is like that little kid who won't shut up but has a big older brother; but in this case I'm not sure why big brother is sticking up for his younger bro.
NK is very fascinating to me though.

What exactly would happen after China "deals" with Kim? They aren't exactly prepared with a second in command.
This link gives some insight into their relationship

Great Job Rodman
I have no idea, I never claimed to be an expert.
I'm sure they could find someone to put in charge.
I don't have any solutions. But North Korea and their actions infuriate me.
Send 'em a Kardashian, Rodman, Paris Hilton, the cast offs from Survivor and American Idol...plus a camera crew. Offer any network the televises the series a tax break. That'll hold them for 6-7 seasons. Then all we need to worry about is series hiatus.
that is terrifying.
Even if China replicated their government and financial legislation in NK they'd experience massive improvements in living standards. It's a hell hole!

Time to nuke them and be done with it
Turn that chit hole into a parking lot.
Let's just carpet bomb Jong-un's mansion. No reason the sushi chef down on Random-Shape Ave. needs to die.
Carpet bomb everything and then give it to Mongolia just so there won't be a conflict of interest between us/s.korea and china
