My sister was in the Peace Corp and lived in a Muslim country for 2 years. When visiting her I asked why they weren't violent like we see in the Middle East. She remarked that they don't have any guns. If they did, they would have slaughtered each other, in her opinion.
Thats why we need to ban all the guns here!!!
The only way to deal with violent people is with force and brutality, you have to keep them scared. I didn't have a problem Saddam till he threatened my oil
I dream of a day when chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned.
Qatar? Dubai? There are very good reasons for this
"Other experts say terrorists will not target Dubai because they might hurt their own money laundering operations, which benefit from the emirate's position as a hub for finance, commerce, and international tourism.
"I don't think any terrorist organization will conduct any huge operation in Dubai or in the UAE, because it's just like shooting yourself in the foot," says Rabih Fayad, intelligence manager for the Middle East and Africa for International SOS. Money laundering is facilitated by the UAE's status as a major financial center, light regulation of informal banking, and the country's use as a transshipment point for drugs from Southwest Asia."

The Gambia. One of the poorest nations in the world. No money for guns.
I think this is an incredibly difficult situation. The humanitarian in me says we should offer help. The frugal in me says mind your business and quit spending trillions policing the world.
I like to believe that we can keep our troops put and let Syria figure it's stuff out. Why is it the US's job to come to the aide of every whacky situation in the world? Sometimes it pays off to be the spectator and let another country be the mockery when they decide enough is enough. The US cannot afford to continue putting wars on credit cards.
Pretty soon it's going to be like this:
Well sh! T.....I got nothing
