What's y'all's depth at QB like? I've seen y'all say you don't need to take a QB this class, so I'm a little curious
Senior starter, RSjr with starting experience, a Parade AA who's now a RSfr, and an early enrollee who will RS and could be better than all of them.
We would have a RSso but he transferred to JUCO last spring when the RSfr passed him on the depth chart, played one season, and is now slated to start at Wisconsin.
First time in Spurriers tenure we have had 2 reliable QBs. We have a couple the staff feels good about behind them as well. Wisconsin's starter just left the program because he didn't think he would see the field.
I disagree with our policy of only taking 1 a year, but I don't see a point in reaching for one this year.
And Park sucks.
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
A little premature with naming McEvoy starter. USCe doesn't need a QB this year unless it's a guy that has potential to be a multi-year starter.
As already stated in this thread we have 2 qbs with legitimate experience, one being a senior and one a redshirt junior. Talent is coming up behind them.
But I think it is a mistake to not take a QB in this class. Shaw can't stay healthy. Thompson (our backup) had some great games but they could have all been mediocre if the defenders had made the interceptions when he threw the ball right to them. This happened in every game he started. He is a gunslinger and could get us in trouble when its his time to take the reigns. We have no idea what we have in Nosovitch and Mitch. If either one of them doesnt pan out then we have real problems in 2015 unless we take someone this year.
Butthurt about a guy we weren't recruiting?
You are better than that DC.....just kidding, I know you aren't.
Sorry, my bad. I don't keep up with Wiscy football. I thought I heard he would be the starter. Either way he was 4th going on 5th string here. I always liked the kid, but I can't blame him for wanting to play. Wish he would have stayed.

Agree, unless we change out the only take 1 a year policy. I don't think we should reach for a sub-par guy this year(like Park), but I think we should take 2 next year at least.
Best case scenario is greyshirt Bo Baldwin and bring him in for spring practice. Also bring in someone for 2015. We should take 1 p/year every year. And every couple of years someone will transfer out but it wont matter if we bring in talent each class.
No need to troll. Check the link: http://247sports.com/Recruitment/Jacob-Park-21196/RecruitInterests
Dude couldn't get an offer from any team in his own state. Everyone from Goose Creek is a born loser, and I mean the city not the school.
So Tramel Terry sucks and you guys didn't want him last year?
I guess by your logic Conner Shaw sucks too since UGA never offered him and he's from the state of GA?
Georgia,Alabama,Auburn,FSU,Louisville,Miss St,NC State,North Carolina,Notre Dame,Tennessee and VT > USCjr and Clemson.
Goose creek is just a product of the state. He will go out of state and get some culture.
I thought Connor Shaw would suck coming out of HS. He was definitely a project, can't blame you for not wanting him, who did outside of us?
Of course we wanted Terry. He had an offer from us. What does that have to do with anything ITT?
Either you don't understand what logic is, or you are missing mine.
My logic: If we want to sign a kid, we give him an offer. We didn't offer = we didn't want. Got it?
It's Kentucky's world USCjr is just living in it now.
agree on the second part.
I'm real interested to see what kind of offers Bo can get if he can stay healthy this season. He just can't seem to catch a break with the injury bug during the season.
Actually I think you're missing my points...
Maybe, like Shaw... Park is actually pretty good. UGA didn't offer Shaw... But he's done well against us the last few years.
You also mentioned that everyone from Goose Creek is a loser. Which is why I brought up Terry... Who happens to be from Goose Creek. I guess he's a loser bc he spurned SC?
USCjr does not like wigger QBs, they would rather them have a mullet.
They have beaten us more times than UGA in the last 3 years, so......
Ha, I didn't know Terry was from GC. I was just trolling that 16 year old Tiger fan who is always talking about Goose creek.
