Fantastic point, anyone that would argue (Jeff) is retarded.
Haha.....another dumb fvck joining in
This. I agree with completely.
"Give him six" "We don't give a damn about the whole state of Alabama" "Grit N Grind"
Wait a minute...is this dumbass Jeff trying, in some way, to say Spurrier is comparable or even better as a CFB coach than Saban? What exactly is your point Jeff? Are you REALLY trying to take something away from a guy who has won 3/4 NCs and is undoubtedly the best in the biz right now? GTFO douche.
Go back and re-read dumb fvck. I know you are dumb because you are from Alabama, but I promise you if you try hard enough you can do it.
I can not believe that I have ever defended you. You are the dumbest mf on the tbb. Saban would be a powerhouse at SC. I don't blame you for being butthurt but come on motherfucker. Spurrier wears Nick Saban pajamas.
Wake me up when USCbitch wins anything. East? Nope Beat auburn? Nope
You are from Alabama, it is expected. And no, he wouldn't.
Jeff, you seriously are so butt hurt that saban is better than spurrier that you would rather trash your own school.
Facts are facts, saban is better at coaching than spurrier and has brought up a crappy program comparable to south Carolina just as well as spurrier did.
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
This post just shows how stupid you are, or either you fail greatly at reading comprehension. This has nothing to do with me arguing Spurrier is better. I suggest you start over and read again.
I know reading is tough for people in Bama, but just try.
So you missed the whole fact of saban bringing up a crappy program similar to south Carolina? Did you even read?
You are quick to reply. Are you saying that Saban wound not take every SC recruit and recruit nationally? Not take every Georgia recruit that he wanted? Texas? Alabama? Fiorida? Do you ever make sense?
LULZ....please go back and read again.
I'm about to head to the bar. I promise I will check in throughout the night to help you comprehend some things.
This is the 3rd post ITT. It is from you, a USCe fan, and is the only reference I see to a big 3 and I'm pretty sure you are not including UT as we play them every year and you say we avoid the big 3.
I accept your apology.

My first comment in this thread was responding to you saying saban sucked at MSU. I then showed how lsu sucked prior to saban and then compared saban at MSU to spurrier at usce (both comparable but saban better over first 5 years).
Do you know what the hell you are talking about?

Severely disappointed in the flaming on both sides.
No wit or chuckles in any posts.
C'mon guys. Y'all are better than this
And how have none of you pointed out that Spurrier didn't do shit at Duke? And his most success anywhere was a school with unlimited resources in UF and all he could muster was 1 NC?
C'mon guys. I can't always hold your hand
People are just mad that Spurrier is man enough to play a tough schedule unlike Saban who cried like a little bitxh when his schedule wasnt favorable.
3 out of 4. More like 1out of 4 no one coddled princess Saban.
Woah, woah, woah. We are soon to be cross division rivals. I don't know about all this hand holding. Too much respect, imo. Makes me feel weird.
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
it was actually his 3rd year there. and it was the ACC.....before FSU was even a member. This was what the ACC was at the time:
Basically, winning this is about the same as winning the Sun Belt or some other conference a little worse than the Big East today.
What is the deal with some of you Bama fans? Why are you guys so mad all the time?
Do you really need to explain away a coach winning a championship at Duke? As if that is some easy task to do. You would think some of you have never won anything the way you constantly have to build yourselves up.
Also, I love these ratings of teams you use. Could you be any more off base? It would be tough.
Clemson- "mediocre" - They won the national championship in 1981 while Spurrier was OC of Duke.
GT- "Mediocre" - They won the National championship the year after Spurrier won the ACC at Duke.
So what your saying is the "Sun Belt" had 2 national championships during that time?
You could say Clemson was a little better than mediocre, and but GT might have won the NC the next year but their previous 2 years went 2-9 and 3-8 and the year in question was 7-4.
So thanks for clarifying. I just don't see anything special of winning a conference with only 1 semi good team in it and 1 mediocre team and then 5 or 6 other completely terrible teams.
And another issue about this "title", UVA and Duke finished 6-1 in the ACC that year and UVA beat Duke (by 21 points) head to head. But both claim the ACC title. Seems to me, Duke doesn't deserve the title over UVA.
So let me get this in straight talk.
Spurrier coached at duke from 80-83. In which time a National champion came out of the ACC.
Spurrier again coached from 87-89. In 90 a National champion came out of the ACC.
So in the 6 years he was there, 2 different teams won a national championship, but you still think it was the Sun Belt Conference. Solid logic.
LSU wasn't considered a powerhouse before Saban arrived.
Spurrier should have won way more than 1 NC at Florida. Way more.
