fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Because I watched the game.
Oregon is more talented and faster than Stanford. Stanford was starting a rook QB. At Autzen. Shaw called a perfect game, and had a great game plan. They owned the inside and were flying to the edge to stop the screens. Chip called the inside ZR maybe 47 times... He never adjusted.
Oregon smashed a Luck led Stanford two years in a row. Once in their own crib. They didn't match up well w Oregon then and they do not now.
Agree completely, Stanford is built to last. Give any coach a dominant team in the trenches and their scheme will be successful. I don't know about Oregon's new coach, but the change alone is enough to push me toward the Cardinal.
We need a board specifically for people who want to argue with Nova and NCAAassn13. It's fun sometimes, but this could have been a pretty good thread. I'm a big Stanford fan unless they play Bama, and while it's not even close to how I would do it, Oregon is hella fun to watch.
How did I miss this thread?
Does anyone still believe that NCAA is trolling and doesn't take this seriously?
Oregon has the best cheerleaders. They are the most compelling argument I've seen from any program out left to put Oregon at the top to stay.

BTW, after you guys figure out which PAC sucks the least, I'd love to hear whether or not TCU will own Tejas and Choklahoma this year.
I'm going Stanford. Their 2012 Offensive Line Class was perhaps the best I've ever seen. I think Barry Sanders saw the line recruits and said "son.....I don't want you running behind the type of line I had in Detroit. Go to Stanford because in 2015-16 their line will be held in the same regards as Nebraska of the mid 1990s and Alabama in the 2007-current Nick Saban era. Go West young man and bring me a Heisman".
Signed 7 Oline in 2012 and 3 of them were 5 star recruits by at least 1 recruiting service.
Seriously, their OLine is going to be "nasty" in the coming 3-4 years. In addition, they are really developing their guys all around...even defensively. They are built to last.

...and a deranged ex-druggie. Weak minded, and this forum is his new "crutch"....lol.,
I think he looks like a skinhead.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
Oh, Stanford...all the way. Impressive what they've done, with the extremely limited recruiting base. Smart, hard nosed football.
Stanford was an old rival, at the beginning of the formation of what is now the PAC...and of all the programs in the conference, a win against them will mean the most. Lots of respect there.
