Maybe not, but we did get the "who is it ok to have sex with" merit badge.
I'm sure you'll have tons of offers for it now after that stunningly amazing and original zinger!

I don't really care, just think the insults aimed at the other poster were out of line.
It's going to be good...
Did you find that rule yet Leppy? Still waiting....
Uh, seriously? Who did you think I was insulting? Follow the progression of posts and maybe you'll figure it out.
(Hint: it's the NCAA)
Good grief. And that post was my restraint, because I said already I didn't want to get into that crap.
I never said it was a rule - do they teach reading comp at PSU.
The Clery Act requires prompt public alerts of safety threats, annual disclosure of crime statistics and other steps to protect campus communities. It is a Depatment of Ed rule - but as Corbett challenges he NCAA, which has membership rules pertaining to integrity and compliance by athletic departments, coaches and related admin where if found in violation could impose the "death penalty" and cancel membership.
When Paterno, Curley, Shultz and Spanier withheld information and covered up the rape of boys at PSU facilities with motive to protect the Football program - that's the provision I referred to where the NCAA still has the option to shut the program down.
Yeah - I live here in State College and find it laughable that PSU fans are still in denial and show little to no remorse for the kids or their families because they still only care about te football program. You guys are no different than Joe Paterno willing to cover it up.
Anyone who reported on the scandal has had their life and families life threatened to include Emmert and Freeh. The boy at Bald Eagle was beaten up and eventually was put in witness protection. All the victims except one have asked for anonymity not for fear of embarrassment but fear for their life. You are a bunch of sole less animals selfishly looking to discredit everyone and anyone to save your football culture.
I have to hear the bullshit daily about "there is a chance the sanctions will get reduced"
Now your leader is Corbett - the same guy all the PSU fans were shitting on 6 months ago is now your cult leader.
You have no idea the size of the bus Spanier is ready to throw PSU and Paterno under - probably best he has passed
No, you are wrong on everything. The Clery Act is not a Dept of Edu "rule", it is a law that is handled in courts. The Clery Act has nothing to do with the NCAA. That is why you are ridiculous.
And stop with "Corbett is now your leader". He's a POS politician who is out to help himself. That doesn't mean that the lawsuit doesn't have merit. I'm still voting his ass out in 2 years.
As for Spanier, are you saying that he is going to squeal about some fictional amount of money to prove that he didn't commit perjury? How does that even make sense? Just keep coming up with BS. It must be hell for you living here.
EDIT: BTW, you said that the Clery Act was covered in a provision in the NCAA's handbook. Wrong. Douche.

This leppy guy has really gone over the deep end.
They do. You said "The NCAA can still charge PSU Football with additional NCAA Violations, Clery Act, and Title IX violations."
Your next post said: "Did PSU not violate the Cleary act? It is an NCAA provision."
See, I can read! You're an asshat.
Where I do agree this is partially a political ploy by Corbett, I do believe waiting until now may benefit in their favor. It has given the public 6 months to see this whole Sandusky situation calm down. In doing so, it's taking the focus somewhat off of that and letting people really put their opinions out there about the NCAA. The focus has turned on the NCAA and how they handled it and some people are changing their ideas and opinions on whether or not the NCAA actually acted within their rights to do what they did! They without question have over stepped theirs bounds and people of national interest and not just Pennsylvanians are starting to see that!

Victims would disagree, and as most people on the internet have told me over the last year the scandal and sanctions are about the victims.
In response to that. Mark Emmert released a statement on the lawsuit stating something about we should be worrying about the victims and not the sanctions and what not. To that was a response from one of the victims saying pretty much that in no way have ever been contacted by the NCAA through the whole thing and don't feel putting them back in the press is appropriate!
Notice every angry PSU reaction ends with a personal insult.
Look I'll remove myself. Discussing this started off civil till you guys made it personal.
That would be smart considering all the fallacies that you have presented ITT (and have been smashed for).
Like I said, it must be hell for you to live in State College. You probably walk around and go "look at that... another Penn State apparel shop... CULTISTS!"
However, I'm sorry I called you a name. I apologize. You are just wrong.
I appreciate the apology
I am sorry it got out of hand as well - as far as walking around PSU, the only flack I get is being an ND fan because "how dare I live in State College and not root for PSU" there is no convincing anyone that the football culture that Emmert focused on will change at PSU.
Here is an article posted that pretty much echos my points. Read the entire thing and let me know your thoughts on the writers opinion.
From Yahoo! Sports: Corbett's lawsuit aims to soften NCAA sanctions against Penn State, but the school just wants to move on.
I think Dan's opinion is that there is hypocrisy on both sides (which is true). He also says that PSU just wants to move on... that is also true.
I do disagree with one thing though... this paragraph:
"Likewise, the argument over whether Penn State's $60 million fine should be doled out to youth groups in the state rather than nationally, as the NCAA wants, is reasonable, but again, not seemingly significant enough to call for as a federal lawsuit that could rack up millions in legal fees itself and take years to resolve."
$60 million dollars of your state's flagship university is being put into an endowment where only 25% of future earnings on that endowment will be spent in state. That is a VERY significant. It is certainly worth fighting over.
Dan also misses out on the secondary economic impact of the sanctions and lost revenue. That is, PSU now has pushed back or eliminated projects for the athletic department which would have produced multimillion dollar in-state contracts. That 60 million dollar fine and the elimination of bowl money for PSU impacts the state's economy.
Then there is the monopolistic aspect which Dan does not get into. I don't expect him to as he is not a lawyer. But it THE issue at hand.
I can tell you that restaurants and businesses are not starving in State College - you cannot eat anywhere outside of fast food without a 30-45 minute wait unless you are going to dinner with the seniors at 4:30.
I still think Corbett is making a mistake and using this solely as a posturing move - having his family standing behind him and the whole coverage itself was just odd. He will be investigated on his role in the whole scandal and it is pretty clear that Spanier is not going down alone.
The thing that hurts PSU is that they negotiated an agreement with the NCAA, now they have a trustee suing the NCAA on their behalf, well the football programs behalf.
It is irrelevant that Corbett is just being a politician here. All the matters is if this case has merit, and from everywhere I read with exception to ESPN, people think that it's 50/50. Most are calling this a landmark case.
Your restaurant thing is wrong unless you only eat at Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden and Red Lobster. I can get into anywhere else with no wait. But that's not really important anyways. Corbett can point to the lower attendance numbers which certainly have an effect on the local economy. Can he prove that it is because of sanctions? I don't think so, but it is merely an additional argument to bolster his case.
The first attack on you was after you accused PSU fans of not being able to read and comprehend your post when you are the one who misread your post.
Someone did call your one post fantasy, but that is not a personal insult. So the insults started after you attacked PSU grads for being unable to comprehend things, when in fact you were incorrect (which you have to admit, you said the Clery act was part of the NCAA rules). Sorry people got offended and attacked you after you attacked us. That's the nature of things. To say we can't read and not expect an insult back when you are shown to have been wrong defies all message board history. It's not how cults work, it's how message boards work.
Paternos suing NCAA as well.

"Buckle up" NCAA because new lawsuit coming from Paterno Family & #PennState FB Lettermen Lawyer Paul Kelly. See bio. http://www.jacksonlewis.com/people.php?PeopleID=1975 …
The NCAA should just drop the penalties and kick Penn State out of the NCAA... problem solved. No more reason to sue..
Pic Sigs are for losers.
Yep, I'm sure that the monopolistic NCAA would have no problem in kicking out a member who is following the consent decree.... no legal issues would arise from that
It's a bit late for that. This is now a high stakes poker game. The NCAA can play it out for all the marbles or fold and live to play another hand. And something tells me Mark Emmert is not a very good poker player.
just know every other fan base in the country hates your school. while some of you turds aren't horrific if you go to the scout PSU board you will see truly horrible delusional people. Can't wait to beat the shit out of you on the field in 2014
