What's everyone's preference? I enjoy both and I'll watch events in the Summer Olympics, especially those that involve an American athlete or team, but I find I'll put the Winter Olympics on pretty much constantly.
Nothing in the winter Olympics is interesting to me so I prefer the summer Olympics any day of the week.
Winter Olympics all the way. Gymnastics, swimming and beach volleyball is all I really care about in the summer. None of them touch snowboarding though. Also Olympic Hockey >>>> Olympic Basketball.

Dont like track?
100m final is the best event in any Games
I Ain't got no Worries - Lebron James
Big fan of Olympic hockey. Also love all of the downhill events, halfpipe, and the luge/bobsled/skeleton events.
Summer easily for me.
This is one thing I always disagree with you on and that is basketball and hockey. At least the USA has a great chance of winning in basketball while in hockey it is normally Russia or Canada who is the favorites
I agree with Mountie, I love me some Olympic Hockey.
Go Blue and Go Titans!
Watching people run really doesn't do it for me. I have watched a couple races, but only because it was on at the time and I hadn't turned it yet.
Exactly. Three great countries battling in Olympic Hockey compared to the US and maybe Spain in basketball? Plus I like pro hockey a lot more than pro basketball. Players just play harder and take a lot of pride in what they do.
The US has been producing some great hockey players, and that is probably why ratings keep going up and up.
Having competed in T&F in college, I'm very partial to the track portion of the Summer Games. I enjoy other aspects of both Olympics, but track puts the Summer Games over the top in my mind.

Been wanting to get into hockey more, but I'm originally only an Atlanta Braves fan as far as pro sports go, so I just recently added the Falcons as an NFL team (Dad is a Redskins fan, but I never took to the allegiance). Don't care about the NBA so no desire to become a Hawks (or anyone) fan. But for the NHL, I'm at a loss. No team in Atlanta anymore, but I don't think I could've stomached being a Thrashers fan.
Nashville might be a good pick for you. Young team that is making noise. I'm a Pens fan myself.

Beach Volleyball > entire winter olympics
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or it may last a year. But eventually, it will subside. If i quit, however it will last forever.
Blackhawks fan right here.
I like both Summer and Winter. I like keeping up with the smaller sports during both that only get attention during the Olympics like archery, shooting, handball, the ski and shoot relay, and water polo.
I love watching the biathlon.
I don't miss an entire showing of either, but Winter for me. Snowboarding is amazing to me and something I will do
Hit it right on the head. Olympic Hockey single handedly gives the Winter Games the edge.
I like the track and field events, and volleyball, but Olympic Hockey is where it's at. I wish the NHL would roll with the bigger rink.
This, and it isn't close
I will watch both religiously, but I enjoy all of the Winter sports where there are some in the Summer games that are just a little boring.
