Going to be 6-3 or 5-4 in favor of gay marriage IMO.
It's going to rule on Prop 8 in California, and should be able to overturn any previously passed state constitutional amendments.
I'm not a lawyer though, so take it with a grain of salt.
No. Because currently federal court still has pot as illegal, it is only legal in the state of Colorado. However, in CO, if a cop really wanted to, he could bust you for smoking a joint as a violation of federal law. The reason people are actually smoking/growing in CO is because cops have come out and said they won't enforce the federal laws.
This is like Roe v. Wade. States can do whatever they want to make it marginally more difficult to get an abortion, but they can't possibly make it illegal.
I don't want to go all the way to Denver to smoke a doobie.
Lots of issues about the equal protection clause of the US constitution.
I personally don't care about homosexuals getting married, but my old man recently said "next thing you know they will let you marry a dog"... thought that was kinda funny.
Does a dog have legal standing or constitutional rights?
That's pretty ridiculous and ignorant. Dogs aren't human beings.
I have no problem with homosexuals getting married. Let them be just as miserable as everyone else. lol

Yup, not defending the statement... will never change some people though.
and Final Countdown... I have no idea but dogs probably do have some kind of legal standing / rights.
Living in the South I've heard worse when it comes to gay marriage. I wasn't trying to bash you or your father.
didn't even take it that way wps, we cool brah
Can we just ship all gays to an island or something??
That's pretty harsh. I'd rather ship out all the people on welfare.
You'll miss out on a ton of potential spending income if you do. Say what you want about gay people, they sure love to stimulate the economy.
I could get jail time for smashing a car window. Does that mean that cars have legal standing? No. Criminal laws punish people's conduct. That's it.
Cops don't have federal jurisdiction. State and local officers in CO and WA couldn't do anything.
I'm a regular wordsmith.
It is absurd that religious beliefs supersede human rights and there are laws to prevent a person equality in any manner.
We are close, but not yet there
I wrote my congressman about this issue. He didn't respond, but added me to his email list.
"Isn't it amazing what somebody will do when he can't bunt." - Vin Scully
So was segregation. Not everything should be a states issue.
Even from being from SC...dudes like to bang, what's the big deal?
Well if any man wants it up the butt ... so be it. Sounds kind of gay though.
