I'm gonna go with Em.. Here's some proof..
Very tough one but I'm going with Jay Z.
Eminem...and it isn't even close.
Yup. Wrecked him on his own song.
Jay-Z is better. By a good margin.

Eminent. He blew J up on his own song to prOve it.
Clearly Eminem. Love Jigga but he just doesn't come close to touching Em in any aspect of rapping besides swag.
Em can spit.
But, come on? Roc-a-fella brought rap back. Jay is the Roc.
I dont think there's one rapper that influence the game like him.
Just look at who he put on, and helped get back hot.
He wrote Dr Dre's verse in "Forgot about Dre"
He wrote "Coming Home" for Diddy
Then he hit you with that, "Ball so hard"
Just because you can be more pretentious doesn't make you a better artist, so Eminem's my choice.

I don't think this is true at all
Label/financial, Diddy? Wrong, on so many levels.
On songs alone, Jay Z dominates Em.
Jay can go from 99 problems to Big Pimpin to Run this town to Hard Knock life, and not miss a beat.
He's way more diverse than Em.
Jay Z advanced many, many careers of artists and still stayed relevant as an artist. You cant just sweep that under the rug, when thats a major part of hiphop's culture.
Roc-a-fella will go down in hiphop history because of Jay Z. You cant turn a blind eye to that.
He even signed Nas, lol
Diddy has a larger net worth and had Biggie on his label.
Biggie>anyone on the Roc
Diddy doesnt have a larger net worth, music wise. Sean John is probably everything.
Jay Z is still a much larger deal in the game than Eminem.
Dr Dre is over Shady Records
Jay Z over Roc Nation
Disagree that Jay Z is more diverse than Eminem. Actually, I'm not even sure how you could come up with that.
From My Name Is to Beautiful to Space Bound... Eminem can do it all. Sing, rap, story tell, hateful or compassionate(especially the ones about his daughter) Jay Z is the better business man. Eminem is the better artist which is what we are voting on.
This of course is only my opinion. Eminem is the definition of diverse.
First of all, Biggie is only one artist. Since he passed, who's Bad Boy's biggest stars? Ma$e? Shyne? loooool. Bad Boy's roster is a complete joke, Diddy has done literally nothing to move rap forward. Look at CRgator's list of artists Roc-A-Fella and Def Jam are/were behind...it's a who's who of the best-selling artists of the past decade.
Second, try to remember that Biggie only made two albums before he died. He might be better than anyone on the Roc, but he's not bigger.
There are only two things Diddy has on Jay-Z: Sean John is a better brand than Rocawear, and Diddy actually owns Ciroc whereas Jay-Z just gets paid to promote Ace. But purely looking at them as label execs, Jay-Z >>>>>>>>>>>> Diddy
Jay would crush Em if you lined there songs up next to each other.
Agree with this 100%. And let's try to keep in mind that in addition to being more varied than Jay-Z, Eminem's songs are just better. Better flow, better technical skills, high concepts, and Em never gets murdered on his own song, whereas that happens to Jay pretty much every time he brings on a guest rapper with any profile. Even in Big Pimpin, one of the songs CRgator is citing, Jay gets owned by both members of UGK.
That would be a matter of opinion. In your opinion Jay would crush Em. In my opinion Em would crush Jay.
Nothing wrong with having different opinions. You said diverse, though, and I thought about it and couldn't come up with how anyone could say Jay was a more diverse artist.
Again, Jay Z is a better business man.
What great "real" songs, outside of lose yourself and I am, has Em made.
The guy has the best flow mixed with simplistic lyrics. His arrangement on songs is the best, but the lyrics are definitely not the best.
Eminem has never ever ever ever ever been shown up on his own track, and 95% of the time he steals the show on someone else's track. He has done just that to Jay Z, ironically. That is greatness.
Based on what?
I didnt say a more diverse "artist", sorry if I implied that.
I was noting the diversity in songs, and fans.
