Who said I was holding something against Bama? You sure insinuate a lot. IMO... That means "In My Opinion", there are 3 better freshman running backs than Yeldon. That means, if you put the 4 RB's on Vanderbilt's roster, which one do I think would be the best RB. Here is who I think would be most effective in order if all were on the same team.
If you don't like my opinion, I'm sorry. I wish I could make you happier, but I can't.
I'm not insinuating anything. Who cares if they have good linemen. They go out and recruit them and develop them.
I wish like hell South Carolina could get those type of OL
Both good but Yeldon got less carries. Yeldon would have definitely put up over a hundred if he got a few more.
Yeldon - 11 carries 76 yds
Hill - 29 carries 107 yds
Is there really anyone that thinks otherwise?
Could you imagine Lattimore behind our OL. Wouldn't be fair in the least. Although your line has played well at times.
Our OL is young, but I wish we had an OL like Bama's
We will struggle next year. Most likely losing four guys to the NFL.
I agree, but heard his mom is really struggling to make end's meet. He definitely needs another year to improve his pass blocking.
I feel like I've only watched a little bit of Yeldon, but I've never noticed him running with power.
Yeldon reminds me so much of a pre-injury Willis McGahee. Very similar running style and they do everything really well. McGahee was probably a little faster though.
As of now now I will give it to Yeldon but Duke Johnson would be second on my list.
Hell, he is better than AD now. Dude is crazy good. He doesn't even need an Oline blocking for him. I bet he has the same agent as Lance Armstrong... has to. It is the only explanation for that awesomeness. Simply unbelievable!
I hope you're joking.
LSU could not stop our running game. It baffles me that we did not run the ball more. Yeldon had his way the entire night.
2009, 2011, 2012 Champs
OL will still be pretty good. Cy will be back at LT and his bro arie will be LG, with Steen back at RG and possibly fluker back at RT. Center will be the only real concern.
Gurley is better than Yeldon. Quit hating on UGA.
Disagree with the OP
i could average 5 ypc behind bamas ol
it is considered "hating" on someone because you say that player is better? Lol
Again, when Yeldon wins a heisman we are gonna revisit this thread
if Yeldon wins Heisman doesn't mean he is a better player than any of the other possibilities listed. Circumstance plays a factor, not just talent.
If you want to phrase your original statement TJ Yeldon will win most hardware of the freshman you can use him winning Heisman as a point, otherwise that doesn't back your argument.
Yeldon looked mighty good last night, his agility at that size is nothing short of spectacular. Runs a little upright would be my only criticism and that hardly matters at this point.
This convo is subject to what kind of RB you want, the most complete back is Duke Johnson is terms of he does it all like a D. Sproles for example. But if you like a back to hand it to 30 times and pound it up the middle then he probably isn't that guy so go with Gurley maybe? . But all are freshman so it will fun to see how they all develop.
Duke hasn't done much since week one
Not sure whats funny
Had a big game against BC then has n't done much with plenty of opportunities
