Hello my friends!! Hope you are all doing well! I have a couple of tablet questions. First one, I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 Tablet on lay-a-way for my wife. Are they nice and reliable tablets? Second question, I have found a Blackberry Playbook for myself, are they nice and reliable too?? I am thinking a tablet would be the way to go when I am taking my treatments and such. A lot lighter than a laptop to carry around. And hopefully easy to learn, I am not as young as I used to be. (LOL) I will also let you guys know I had another doctor's visit today. He seems to be very pleased at how I am doing. I still weigh 150 pounds, my blood counts were all good, and I took a chemotherapy treatment today. And I am so STOKED for football!!!! Just a little over a week now!!!! Thank you for your help, and all the prayers and kind words!! I think of you all as my family too!!! God bless you all!!!
Wait. Lay-a-way is still available in 2012? I thought that shit ended in the 80's

Don't know anything about tablets but I'm hoping to see you at a game this year. If we (nWo) can help make that happen, let us know.
My wife and kids love their IPads and they are virtually maintenance free
Thank you!! I am really hoping to be able to make it to a game! I'm more excited to see the Heisman statues than anything!! I look forward to seeing you all too!! I'm hoping that we can make a day of it. I know I'll be a tired lil puppy the next day. lol! Thank you again!! Hope you have a great day!!
Galaxy Tab 7 is nice and light. It would work well for your wife as a device to surf the web, watch youtube (you can rent movies through youtube and they have some free ones as well).
Best Buy has a decent little package you can get that comes with a keyboard and usb dongle.
The Blackberry Playbook-don't have much experience with it and it doesn't seem to be doing well. I've heard they are reintroducing a new one but haven't seen anything. I know that there a rumors that RIM might be bought out so there might not be too much support for that device in the future.
Another option is the Kindle Fire, team that up with a Prime account and you have a good streaming device that can also be used with free book from Amazon Lending Library. Only downside is no camera. The newer fire coming out next month or in October will reportedly have one and I can't see it not having one.
apple is rumored to have a mini ipad coming out as well in the $300 range. that will be nice too.
Thank you sir!! That is very helpful! I really just wanted something to help me kill time during treatments and such. The wife has been after me pretty heavy for a tablet and I found the Samsung one, and put it on lay-a-way for her, We should be picking it up this week. You were very helpful!! You don't know how much I appreciate your help! Hope you have a great day sir!!
Have you looked at the new Nexus 7?
I've read several reviews that say it is the best Android tablet you can buy. Only $199 for the 8GB model though they did cut a few common features to keep the price down (no camera on the back, no 3G/4G).
I haven't. But thank you for telling me about this. I'll have to check them out!! I appreciate you letting me know about it. I'm not one for all the frills myself. I just want to surf the web and watch videos. Again, I appreciate your help!! God bless you!!
