No I did not lose a sig bet, but I am really really really ridiculously good looking.
Dr Pepper ? explain please, sounds interesting
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Take your favorite marinade and add dr.pepper to it. Will take it to the next level. Dr.Pepper also make a line of marinades now as well.
A few oldies from the smoker.
Yeah dad used to add it to steak for a little sweet taste. Usually if we grilled ribeyes. We still do it every now & then.

Don't have pics of it on the grill just yet, but this has been my project all day. Pretty stoked to get started cooking....

The pork I smoke on Tuesday.
Smoked some sausage and bacon a while back and made gumbo.
What kind of grill is that?
Well damn, Ill get right on that for sure
Just so I don't feel like a retard but you are talking about the soda right ? not some pepper spice I have never heard of ?
Great job. Just pulled the pork off the smoker 5 minutes ago and we are letting it cool. I think yours looks better. I hate you
Yep the soda.
You pulling it? Pics? (Great out of context)
Cool, not sure how I haven't heard of that before
Im very excite
Gonna try that for sure. Thanks!

lol. Just moved and my POS camera is in one of the boxes in my closet. It's just an average Boston Butt and two slabs of ribs. The ribs do look really good though.
I usually smoke butts for about 10 hrs and ribs 4-5.
If I was you all I would eat is seafood
That is what I usually smoke ribs for too. I can cook a lot of things, but I will admit that Ribs are not my strong point.
Found some on google.
This makes for some of the best meat I've ever had. I know a guy who has a secret Dr. Pepper marinade, but he won't give us the ingredients. After years of slowly putting it together, this is what I've come to conclude.
I am completely out of seafood. Not even any snapper in the freezer. We will have to wait til the middle/late March and then it will still be slow. We plan on killing the Mango Snapper to fill the ice box before Red season starts.
Ribs are pretty easy. I like 3 hrs smoke then wrap to finish. Always spray meat when smoking every 45-60 minutes. I usually use 60% apple cider vinager and 40% veg oil. Keeps meat moist.
The ribs have been on for about 3 1/2 and I'm going to check them in a bit. I don't think mine will ever win any competition but they always taste good to me. We wrap them in a dry rub overnight. Good stuff.
Never tried that before. I may have to try that next time I fire it up.
