I bought a big east specifically for coming turkey. My uncle injected and fried a bird in oil, I brined and cooked it in the easy and the whole family though the turkey fried without grease was better. Just a thought. The big easy was like $80
No I did not lose a sig bet, but I am really really really ridiculously good looking.
Wow. It's night and day how much easier they pull when they get around 200.
It usually gets to about 190 or 195 by the time it gets hit with the smoke for 6 hours, cooked an additional 3 hours while wrapped, and then taken off the smoker and left to settle for an hour.
As far as turkey goes, I've never had a deep fried turkey, but I've heard great things, other than the occasional burning down the garage / house issue. I personally would never smoke a turkey for the Thanksgiving, but that's more due to the fact that its cold as hell by Thanksgiving up here. I just like anything smoked and when I've smoked turkey thighs and legs they've tasted great and been very juicy.
195 is the way to go for pulled pork IMO. Sometimes 190 if looks like it needs to come off.
Chicken 165 to 170
You gotta have a nice smoke ring.
To each their own I suppose.
By the way Muff. I tried my first spicy chicken sandwich from Chick Fil A today due to your sig. I can't believe it took me this long to give it a shot.

I appreciate all the help. $100 sounds pretty good for my budget and the grill looks like it meets my needs perfectly.
now I'm hungry
Same thing I said after holding out.
Spicy chicken sammich is

I want a spicy chicken sammich instead of what I grilled now
In college if you went to chick-fil-a on campus and had your student ID you get either a free chicken sandwich or free strips with your order. It was glorious.
yup, dont let ignorant college spoiled money wasters put it down. Real men cook with fire and a weber kettle is one of the best there is to do it.
It actually has a little kick to it. The only other fast food restaurant that has a spicy chicken sandwich that actually has "spice" is Wendy's. Chick Fil A's is better though. I still think it's fairly close between the two though.
No lie. I learned how to grill on a weber.
I have no beef with a Weber, but I will never buy anything other than a BGE. By far one of the best buys I've made.
You sure as hell aren't going to get one for $100 though. A Weber is certainly good quality for what they cost.
Bigger portion of chicken, IMO
Plus, can't go wrong with the waffle fries...
Fuck... I'm Billy'd and can't drive to chick-fil-a
Damn now I'm hungry again. You had to bring up the waffle fries.
I want everyone to feel my pain...
Got a new tat this weekend by the way. Not that you give a damn but I did get you that badge so you have to act like it's cool.
Nah seriously what you think?
I bought a Butterball Indoor electric turkey fryer last year... That thing is the bomb! Takes much less grease than a propane stand and pot, and the clean up is a whole lot easier... It was definitely a well spent $100
Dive for the thrill, shoot for the kill.
You have balls doing it indoors my friend. I have never seen an indoor turkey fryer. I make sure that my fryer is about 30 feet away from my house minimum when I do it. I mean I've probably cooked 12 of them by now but it is still sketchy IYAM when it comes to safety.
I always turn my burner off right before I drop my bird in. I always make sure it's completely dry, but I still turn it off to be safe. That way if it overflows all I have is a big mess to clean up.
God, give me patience today. If given strength I may beat someone to death.
I like bio-mechanic. The coloring/shading looks good. I'm working on close to an 100hrs of work. Need to finish my sleeves and my (L) rib panel.
That is what I'm going for. My right arm is sleeved up (biomechanical designs as well) and that is the first one on my other arm. Eventually I'm sure it will end up sleeved as well.
