Michigan's football program started in 1879. But let's say it didn't. Let's say we started in 1891. We'd still have the most wins in college football. Take the first 12 years away from Michigan, and we still have more wins than anybody else.

He's an idiot. Pay no mind to him. He has a picture of Nick Saban above his bed that he jerks off to every night. Got it blown up at FedEx Office. Not to mention he never attended the school he cheers for. Lives in a mobile home, and makes $35,000 a year loading packages at CostCO.
SEC blue blood yes. Nationally Tennessee might fall JUST short.
As in if there were a top 10 list they would be 11.
Although it could be the other side of the spectrum, Tennessee is a school that's kind of hard to gauge.
Sorry they need more legit championships. Michigan is a pretender.
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
It's weird how everybody disagrees with you on this, isn't it?
You're obviously just a hater.
8 more that are unclaimed, but yeah we don't claim titles that we didn't actually win

Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Southern Cal, Oklahoma, Texas
I totally agree with that list of Blue Bloods Theta plus Texas, now that list is final and forever and no applications will be accepted. Those teams made College Football at the beginning of the television age because if you watched a game on the tube you were watching one of those teams which is why they are the Bluebloods!

My list with a much better explanation, this!
6 claimed means that is what UT has all that other is BS, Bama for example has 9 NC's in the Poll era and claims 15 total. Tennessee has 2 in the poll era and claims 6.
What about 'Braska?
coolstorybro its time. I mean its time to finally put that 45 in your mouth a squueze the trigger. Just do it for us man. We will be happy, and you will be happy now that the pain and frustration is all gone. Go on, make the pain go away.
actually the six are real and the 8 in the years of 1914,1927,1928,1931,1956,1985 and 1989 are the unclaimed ones. Thanks for trying tho.
They complain about domers but somebody has to class this place up.
Why are you so mad about me pointing out facts? Fact is, Michigan has 2 major poll titles. Extremely small number.
Having to pay alot of coaches will do that
Yeah sucking for 6 straight years is not the right way to sale tickets. Somebody shoulda mentioned that to Dooleys dumbass
Never considered them a blue blood. They are definitely a very good program with a lot of tradition. But I think that the only schools that are blue bloods are Bama, ND, Michigan, and maybe USC, OU, and OSU imo.
Close but not quite IMO
Bammers: "heck no!"
Everyone else: "I think they have the qualifications but aren't quite there."
Bout what I expected. I think that we needed to be more relevant the past few years to discuss this, because our perception is horrible which is what a lot of people are going to draw upon when looking for reasons why Tennessee isn't..
What is everyone's qualifications to be considered a blue blood?
Butch Jones. Who???
No, but traditionally speaking, UT has the 2nd most tradition of any SEC team. That's why it's so crazy how far they've fallen and how bad their future looks. How can their AD be that far in debt? Just craziness. They will be back, it's just going to take some time. Programs like them do not stay down forever.
Good perspective. It has never happened that a top program just disappears forever. Hopefully Tennessee won't be the first...
Couple things after reading this thread:
-Dutch, quit being a douche and derailing the thread. Nobody GAS about your life an usually the people who talk like you are FOS.
-Alabama has 10 AP/UPI NCs not 9
-FSU is not a borderline blueblood IMO. If any Florida school is, it's UM
- Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Southern Cal, Oklahoma, Nebraska. I personally like this list for BBs. I think Texas is borderline. They have a lot of all time wins, but leave a lot to be desired when it comes to championships.
Shut up. Nobody was talking to you.
Michigan, Texas, Notre Dame, USC, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Alabama, Ohio State, Penn State, and Tennessee. I consider those blue bloods.
