...under this new staff. Lots and lots of buzz out there for a once perceived dead program. Brown will be a monster.....stay out of Alabama.

When you actually hire a coach who is on an upward trend in his career rather than a guy who's daddy was the most decorated and successful coach in UGA history while jr. gets a top notch job after a .500 coaching record at LA. Tech? I would say off to a great start as well, now he just needs to upset a few opponents this coming fall.
It shows how bad Dooley was/is. Hopefully we can keep it up.

It's pretty impressive, good for Tennessee.
Our quarterback does front flips, suck it.
A good bit will jump ship after they finish with 5 wins.
Weren't you Alabama fans just saying 2 months ago Butch Jones was a terrible hire and no one else wanted the job?
I think Bates jumps on board in the next month or two. We really need some defensive tackles and line backers to jump on board. That will really define how possibly good this class will be for UT.
To be honest most of our fan base was still angry about not getting Charlie Strong. Jalen Hurd and TKJr changed that.
It's a good feeling isn't it?
I don't remember caring that much.
Seems like new coaches always tend to get kids to buy in to what they're selling until they start tanking and kids abandon ship.
He complimented their recruiting. The jury is still out on how good of a hire he was. The part about no one really wanting the job is true. Butch was not their first choice.
I still think that
Who turned it down?
Gruden--- like he's really going to go back into coaching after making 4 million or more on MNF
Gundy--- Was he really leaving Oklahoma St?
Strong--- did turn it down, but only because Louisville actually counter offered
So who else didn't want the job?
Agree sign OP, btw
Heck I can't remember if he was a serious contender or not. I just remember Grudenmania, Gundy's offer, and Strong's. that ish was so confusing at times. At the time, I never understood why Butch kept taking jobs and then holding off on them. It's like Hart and Butch were scheming behind the scenes. Most people were on the Gruden or Strong bandwagon. Nobody really wanted Jones then, but that mugga fugga really wanted the Tennessee job. It was kind of weird how it all played out to be honest.
Btw... You Gator fans need to give Keith hell for this--->
Still don't like this hire at all for the Vols. Wake me up if he ever gets 8 wins at UT.
A&M fans were saying the same after Sumlin was hired.
I understand what you are saying, but Tenn. is a pretty proud program for you not to be able to pull a coach from Louisville or OK St.
Not a flame, just a statement. I can relate as RR turned down Alabama to stay at WVU (obviously that worked out in our favor though).
Stay out of Alabama? What are there like 3 or 4 good recruits each year in that garbage state?
Who did they beat out for Orlando Brown ? Midd Tenn st ? Dude fell off the radar after his season last year
Steve Spurrier is a God, and Mark Richt worships him
Lol. That's pretty funny.
This. Guy was on down our board, and seems like he loves to eat.
I remember my first year following recruiting.
