Seriously, what's up? Is UT football doomed for another 5 years with this clown at HC?
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
tennessee was doomed to irrelevance in college football the day fat phil left. they will never again win the SEC east.
Would be top notch if that 2 star OL would've picked UT over a D2 school
Difference in our class compared to everyone's in this thread:
Tennessee had to literally start from scratch with every recruit they went after with the exception of Marquez North. Dooley literally destroyed our chances with every top prospect on the board. Bell even came out and said that he would have gone to Tennessee had anybody but Dooley been the head coach, because they probably would have been on him since day 1.
You cannot fairly judge this first class like any other first year coach's for this reason. It is a very underwhelming class considering all of our big fish were on the table for today, and went a completely different direction. The only one that Tennessee was truly confident on was Bell, and that whole scenario has already been played out.
Vonn Bells dad told me "this is bc of Dooley. If UT had recruited Vonn from day 1 he'd be going there. Coach Jones had 2 much ground 2 covr"

Butch Jones. Who???
Why would any stud recruit want to play for Butch Jones?
No reason now. He's going to have to make a statement in the coming season if he is going to have any hope of success. We shall see... Not very confident atm
Edit: Similar statement like Hugh Freeze. compete in some games and win some you are not supposed to (Texas A&M)

I think he can get a 300 yard per game offense on the field, which isn't terrible, but yes, Dobbs needs to put some weight on and be ready yesterday. Perfect fit for the type of offense he wants to introduce.
Yeah, more than likely. He was heavily recruited by this staff when they were at Cincy so it might not be terrible on offense this year.
let Dooley coach any school in the country for 3 years and see how your recruiting classes are. I hate that fvcking guy.

i see worley transfering this year if he doesnt get the starting job.. doesnt seem to be a good fit for this offense. but yeah butch did what he could do..
Who is the butch jones guy? Lmao
Not for this offense. If he could play in a system like Chaney's where you could make quick passes underneath, he could be successful. He doesn't have quite the arm or mobility to scare a defense.
what the fan base was thinking at first also.. who is this guy.. but until the dissappointment today he had everyone in a more upbeat mood and seeing that things could get better. lol.. just a tough time on rocky top..
Ridiculous thread. Tennessee is at the bottom. They will have to develop three stars for 2-3 years. Everyone knows that. Dont act shocked just to get some flames in. .
Tell that to ole miss who just went 7-6
We havent had a record that good since 2009, we are actually recruiting pretty good considering our shitty play and a coach who didnt even recruit Vonn Bell, the best player to come from tennessee in along time.
Oh, didnt realize you were so naive. Ole Miss is on that "ball out for 3 years and then stone age for 5" recruiting plan.
The state of Tenn has no players.......for UcheaT to be good, either bama, Uga or USC has to be down. All three are very good right now, so its extremely difficult for Tenn to be good b/c of their talent base. During fat phil's glory days, they owned ATL, took several of SC's best almost every year, raided NC as well. USC now does pretty well in NC and has SC locked up for the most part. UA, AU, USC, UGA etc....have georgia pretty much locked up between them and UT isn't getting the players they used to. It's going to be a long time before UT is good again, imo.
