Where's the outcry from the Chicfila haters? This is clearly a statement by the NFL on their stance.
Says the Penn State fan...that's rich
Hey, all of you guys were telling us how Te'o was a slam dunk 1st rounder even after his fake gf story broke and he stank in the NC game. What happened?
Actually what I was telling you was I couldn't care less about what happens to these guys after they're through playing for my team on Saturdays.
Despite what people might hope to be the truth, Te'o is going to end up having a better career than the vast majority of players taken in this draft.
Also, for all those folks lining up to make jokes about Te'o, please understand that whatever school you played for and/or root for would have been ecstatic to have landed Manti as a recruit/commit. There is no denying that fact.

best joke all day.
Teo has a great feel for the game but he lacks the speed to cover NFL TE's and RB's and he lacks the ability to shed blocks successfully at the next level. Have other LB's overcome those limitations? Sure, but he does have several reasons why he's not a 1st round LB. He's a good college player, that just doesn't always translate to the NFL.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
Remember this conversation.
Te'o is going to end being better than the vast majority of LBs taken during this draft.
He very well might but if I were picking ILB in the NFL, I'd probably pick Bostic, Minter and Ogletree over him. The NFL draft is about projecting to the next level, the skillset of those 3 projects better to the NFL right now. The draft isn't an exact science, though, and that's the reason the best players aren't always taken first.
My prayers were answered. Vikings didn't waste a first round on him
That's exactly what I have been saying all along. It's odd to say, but Te'o is a tweener in the NFL. When he gets up to playing weight, he is too slow to be a 3 down LB. Even then he does not work well in traffic... so... what's his value? Probably his ability to call plays at the line as he is very good pre-snap. He guesses a lot, and he was right a decent amount of time. That is a skill, no doubt. But in the NFL, things get more complex... you can't be guessing on every play. I just don't see value in picking Te'o until the 3rd round or later.
Te'o was all set to go to the Patriots, but turns out it was just Tuiasosopo on the phone pretending to be Belichick,
He's a Mike backer. He doesn't cover TEs. But you're right on the shedding blocks part.
He most certainly will have to at some point. Teams will attack him.
Clearly, the TD that he gave up to a TE in the natty game proves me wrong...
That is so wrong, but so damn funny!
