Might want to read Strouds thread above. The DC there thinks he lead with the crown. Doesn't matter if it is a NCAA or NFL official, I am fairly certain the crown is still the crown in both leagues. Point is, the hit is borderline so anyone trying to start a thread to bash a conference etc based on an official saying it was illegal is simply asinine.

Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
So I guess your own defensive cordinator should give up football as well?
South Carolina defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward could see a possible ejection for Jadeveon Clowneys hit in the Outback Bowl.
for the record I don't agree with our DC. I just figured I would put it out there. To me that was textbook tackle. Stay low and plant your facemask in the chest. Obviously there are differing opinions. I think either way ejection would be ridiculous. 15 yrds maybe, but not ejection.
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
I thought the clowney tackle was textbook, but in these new days, it will be called and he will be ejected. It really sucks.
I'm still waiting for the OP to explain his belief why the U should give up on football?

Concentrate on Boats and Hoes...
People are taking this a little too seriously. I think he was just saying that the head ref is crazy for saying he should get ejected.
I don't agree with the head ref...but I agree w/ the play happens so fast that refs are going to eject players because it looks like a bang, bang play
He didn't hit with the crown. That's the point. He stuck his nose in the guy's chest which is perfect.
So i heard the ACC ref that said he would eject Clowney just did an interview. He said that he had only seen the play once at full speed before. . He said when you watch it at Slo Mo, it should not be a penalty.
Thought it was worth mentioning

Whatever. What you say is irrelevant because your team's history sucks.
