I'll start witj John Wooden......next...?
Zen Master (Phil)
Beat me to it. Phil Jackson
I love Phil Jackson and you can't argue his rings but coaching a football team is 10x harder than coaching basketball.
So I don't know how I would rank them considering how much more difficult it is to coach football.
I would have Bear Bryant over Phil Jacksom among other great football coaches based on what I said earlier.
That's just me though
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Coaching mega rich ego maniacs >>>>>>harder than coaching college kids, imo.
Are you serious? Lol ok
Could make a case that current a&m track coach pat Henry is the best coach. Has like 18 national championships.
Of course. I thought it would be common knowledge.
More drugs, women, and trouble come with money, imo.
Agreed, coaching the pros is more difficult.
Coaching 85 kids is not easier than 12 grown men
And another point would be that coaches of professional teams are playing on a level field, for the most part.
In college, a coach can just load up on talent due to being in a specific region, his/her institution's reputation, etc. A school that has always recruited well, will more times than not recruit well.
In the pros, all the players are "1 of the best in the world," at their position. Every team is fast, strong, and smart. And most teams have all stars, or "All-Americans." (In college terms)
Coaching 85 kids is a lot easier than coaching a pissed off Iverson or Jordan. JMO
No friggin way.
You have to recruit, game plan, teach them how to play.. Teach all of the plays and deal with daddy issues.
No fvcking way coaching MJ is harder than being a football coach.
Anyways, we are so much in disagreement so let's agree to disagree
Nick Saban- College Football.
12 grown millionaires have the potential to create more headaches than 85 kids, imo.
The crimes I see professional athletes commit seem to be much more serious than the college kids.
But the biggest difference is the competition.
There's way more parity in professional sports.
haha just bustin your Lesticals. +1
Have to at least mention Red Auerbach.
Id be fine with wherever he ended up inside of a top 5.
no one is coaching 85 kids
It's all good bro.. No one is ever going to agree on everything.. Threw you an UV too
Another solid one.
Some others to at least consider:
I am sure I will think of some more.
Top 5 NBA coaches?
1) Phil Jackson
2) Red Auerbach
3) Greg Popavich
4) Pat Riley
5) George Karl (yes, I went there)
