"K", WTF kind of G word shat is "K"!
Proud of you, but your a gump, face it
What is a gump? A red neck way of saying red neck.
I would agree with this. The hire leaves a lot to be desired IMHO but I have to hand it to him for what he's done so far. Then again it's like someone said, this is what he's supposed to do. At the very least though I commend him for attempting to wipe the slate clean and bring a new culture to AU.

His ID clearly has AU in it. No where do I see LSU fan at Krystal's which is the epitome of your "urban slang".
[hug] over your head, don't worry
It really is pathetic. The Barners will grasp at any straw they can. When you're not happy, fake it till you make it.
Auburn could have hired any D2 coach or Tony Franklin and when he came in, he would have done the same things Gus is doing. Jesus Christ. New coaches generally wants their own guys. Whatever PM or Trooper was saying about re-interviewing with the new coordinators was monkey dung. That was never going to happen. What the hell is Gus doing that's so ground breaking? Derrick Dooley did the same things.
Absolutely nothing. I don't remember saying anything groundbreaking was going down. I think Gus was an atrocious hire, but I also think for any coach at AU it's tough to make decisions that normally are no-brainers due to adhering to people that don't even work for the university. That's all. If it were anywhere but Auburn I'd think even less about it than I do now.

Cemson's co-defensive coordinator Charlie Harbison is now our DB coach.
Clemson definitely is known for fielding great defenses so you got a steal there.
Congrats on hiring one of the worst DB coaches in America.

You stupid human. Hahahahaha!
^^^^does not get it at all
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
I WANT RON COOPER
Lol. The man was absolutely one of the best in CFB without a doubt. Our new DB coach is a WAY better recruiter than Cooper but I haven't seen enough of him to know if he's a better coach.
I don't know if it's Cooper's fault, the talent or the DC in Tampa but the Bucs have the worst pass D in the NFL.. But the best run D.. If Tampa keeps having the worst pass D in the NFL, Cooper might not be there very long.
Who did you guys hire as your DB coach? (I wasn't paying attention)
Oh and your posts have been a lot better lately.. Some good, objective football talk from you with some well thought out posts.. I like it brutha
Hey Man, nice sig pic, if you don't mind me asking where was that taken?
"Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." Teddy Roosevelt
Auburn hired Charlie Harbison from Clemson to coach the back side.
I keep hearing Herb Hand will be OL coach...everything else is pretty quiet right now.
Clemson? Who have they put in the NFL from their secondary under that DB coach? Also where have his pass D's been ranked during his tenure?
He's another Bammer retread. He's from the Fran/Shula days. Really nice guy, not much of a coach.

To many "nice guys" are coaches. It's the A-Holes like Saban, Belicheck, Sean Payton, Petrino and numerous others that are the good coaches.
The nice guys like Richt, Chizik, Sherman (former TAMU coach), Croom, and many more are not as good as the A-holes but always find big time jobs.
Both of their safeties were All Americans in 2010 I think.
Staff has a number of DuBose and Franchione guys.
Seems odd to me.
Seriously would have thought Gus would have been open to keeping BVG, but I can understand getting someone with at least some HC experience in Ellis Johnson as well.
