Aren't you the one who hates hyping and pumping?
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
Looks like he was in a head on. Very sore and the doctor told me it was bootcamp time tomorrow. Asked me how the Spartans did last night and I said I didn't watch. (is that bad ?). Sleeping a lot. Doc loves the outcome. Thanks for asking. My mom and I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. We really do.
Uhhh, Coach K is getting old and does look a bit tired. And, like Izzo, his best days are absolutely behind him. Anyone with a set of eyes and a high school education should be able to do the math on that one.
How old is beilein? 55? Izzo? K? I really don't know.
Oh SNAP beilein isn't older then Izzo is he?
UofM fanboys are a bunch of ageists.
That wasn't hyping, that was lampooning.
Beilein will be 60 in Feb. Izzo's younger than him by just under 2 years (Beilein's b-day is Feb 5, Izzo's Jan 30).
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Yea, I mean Izzo only has 3 out of the last 4 Big 10 titles too.
You guys are hilarious.
Question for all the ageist Wolverines, at what age is a coach too old to coach? What is their expiration date?
You said that Izzo will have another deep March run. Thus you are hyping and pumping.
I'm not going to go back a page to quote, but wanted to make a comment about Stevens.
As far as Izzo successors go, there are a few that believe the new Assistant brought in last year, whose name escapes me, might have been brought in to learn the ropes. Mark Few has been rumored for a little while, the HC of Gonzaga, and the connection is there, I'm not sure about his age though. I think that when Izzo does hand the reigns over, he is going to recommend someone in their late 30's early 40's. Stevens would be a good name, and if he makes another run this year with Butler, I just don't see how he doesn't move into a better conference.
I think that Skiles has been mentioned, but he is moving up there in age, and by the time Izzo retires, which most people are thinking 5-7 years, it would put Skiles in his mid to late 50's I think. Crean was always thought of as the person who would take over, but if he can win a NC at IU, they will tear down the football field to make sure he stays as teh coach. At this point it is all just scenarios as a lot can happen between today and when Izzo finally decides to hang it up. I really think that Izzo will coach until he is in his mid 60's and that he will have a harder time hanging it up than he thinks. I just try to enjoy the time that we have with him as a HC, because someone like him is far and few between. Unfortunately our fanbase has become spoiled and I don't think most of them really understand what MSU has with Izzo at the helm.
Now knowing what 1995 is like all over again! Thank you 247 technology!!
Where did I guarantee Izzo will have another deep March run?
For MSU coaches, it's 59. For UM coaches, they just get started at 59.
What's entertaining is that even Izzo on the "decline" has produced better results in March than Beilein.
UM looks like they have a good team this year; not going to deny that. I also think MSU will look better at the end of the year compared to how they look now. Given the history of both coaches, it seems very premature for UM fans to start gloating.
You are clearly prejudiced against the elderly. Someday it will happen to you.
How's Duke doing right now? They look like the best team in the country to me.
I pretty much am limited in Bball knowledge, but are you saying Duke is going to do Carolina worse then Indiana did? Cool, couldn't happen to a nicer coach.
Probably not, Carolina is young, they'll get better by the time they play Duke

I have a feeling age won't matter with beeline. Just ask the wolverines.
Wolverines are ageless.
So did Izzo. Interesting.
Izzo went to the sweet 16.
I think you meant sexless
Sorry. I read second round = second weekend. Izzo flamed out a little later. My bad.
Coach K lost in the 1st round. i refuse to call the "first four" the 1st round.
speaking of which, who the hell thought it would be a good idea to have a play in game for a 12 seed? Why have a play in game if you're better than 4 other teams in your bracket?
