So you fall for trolling that easily? Good to know.
When was UM's last great non-scandal ridden bball team? Honest question . . . Glen Rice-Era?
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
I can't imagine how hilarious this thread will be if UM loses to tOSU and their bowl and MSU wins out, giving both teams the same record in '12.
Too early to tell. I've seen the Bowl projections, but those things change every week. We still have some meaningful games to play so we'll see.
I think it will be ten times more hilarious if State loses its next two and doesn't qualify for a bowl, but that's just me.
Only about five seasons were vacated due to the Ed Martin Scandal. In fact, only two games of the Fab Five's freshman season were vacated, so I'm not sure what you are trying to get at. We also had a team make the Elite 8 during the mid-90s that was not linked to the Ed Martin Scandal and had no games vacated at all. Everyone knows about the Ed Martin Scandal. If it weren't for the Ed Martin Scandal, MSU basketball would be stuck back in the middle of the pack in the B10 where it was for most of its history. Again, I'm not sure what you're trying to get at. Just say "thank you" and be on your way.

Not half as hilarious as it will be if Sparty drops its final two games to NW and MN and ends up as the celler-dweller in the Legends Division and ineligible for a bowl game.
Hey, since you brought up kenpom, thought you'd find this interesting:
I think kenpom's rankings are generally crap, especially this early in the season, but you brought them up, so you must think they're valid. And that doesn't even include MSU's win over Kansas....
laconophilia is everywhere...
Even if Michigan doesn't have more talent, lately they've been showing MSU that it doesn't matter. Imagine what will happen if it turns out that this Michigan team does have more talent than MSU?
Yeah, ive not seen this anger in a while. Jebus, MSU beat Kansas in November in basketball and there are some real angry people because of it. it seemedike it was a big game but face it we haven't hit hunting season yet. I don't get the anger over it, this game in the big picture doesn't mean much. Just a spotlight for four storied programs to jump start the season. Wake me in march.
Yeah that would suck but face it this whole league sucks. It's just not been good for our conference this year. August can't get here quick enough.
Is that it? Well then, that wasn't so bad after all. I think we should just brush it aside as a boys being boys thing.
Honestly, the unmitigated gall, isn't even shocking anymore. The add on of how MSU became program of the decade because of it goes beyond the pale. I wish you guys (some of you) had the ability to really step back and hear what you're actually saying. Perhaps being a Michigan man doesn't allow that.
Like you said a couple months ago, bowl season is going to snap everyone back to reality.
The conference will get better. I'm sure of that.
Jesus, I say the same thing about Sparty almost every day. Are you not able to read steveschnieder, InTenSity, Harry Callahan, and YOUR OWN posts?
Some are way worse then others. You know Bo only became good because Duffy started partying too much. Really that's the only reason.
Yeah, I make those claims, I blame officials, I never give the other side credit, or say they were better and I always say how great we are. I have to just stop.
Damn mobile double posts

That's what I was trying to figure out. I know the Ed Martin scandal wiped out some good teams, so I'm trying to find out what the best, most-recent non-vacated season was for UM. I'm not trying to be snarky here, I was just curious.
Let's not pretend like you haven't had your own special moments.
6 blowout losses
So if UM was still paying players, teams like MSU would be middle pack? Outstanding stuff.
Thing is, if I claimed MSU was going to be great and they turned out to be turds, I've never had a problem looking at it and saying how bad we really are.
There are some on here who have the ability to lie to themselves and believe the tripe. I don't know if that angers me or makes me jealous.
So between the end of last year's bowl game and the end of the Boise St game, you never once proclaimed mSu might be great in 2012?
You've got to be THE only Spartan to not say so.
So, you really have never heard me say that I think pre seaso rankings are crap? That I'd rather see things then look at stats?
Edit: I did think our oline and passing game would be better. I was wrong.
I find this is a common trait in most fans. It's certainly not exclusive to Michigan or Michigan State fans.
