So you agree, Indiana is the premier basketball program in the B10?
You need to take some basic English language courses because you are clearly reading something into the words and sentence structure that is not there. I made no comment about which program was the premier program "during the Izzo era". It's a pointless and dumb question. If you want to give yourselves a ribbon for your 15 minutes of fame, knock yourselves out. No one else but Sparty fans care.
The premier program in the League since Izzo: Woodson says it's Indiana. Now you know why I've really lost a ton of respect for your "basketball knowledge"
Like I said, you dont' have much shame. It's very hard for you to say MSU is the premier program in the league for the past decade and a half. By any measurement you'd like. Like I say, I'll give you the whole field. I'll just take MSU. Any measurement of victories you'd like. Conference Championships (damn close to leading the whole league added up) NCAA appearances- Heck, I'd like to add up NCAA victories in that time period and put MSU's against the field. Sweet 16's, elite 8's BTT championships, NC's NC final games. I'll let you have the whole field. I'll take MSU. The last 15 years.
The premier program in the league the last decade and a half? Compared to "the league" I don't think the world "Premier" is good enough. It's why we'd get Crean if Izzo retired. That simple. If some program like Wisconsin, or Indiana, or Illinois has two or three good years in that time, It makes no difference. If a school like Michiigan, who currently has just a fantastic team makes a run for a year or two, it makes no difference. MSU is MSU and will continue to stay that way. I don't think we'd slip for three years like UM did in football under Hoke if we switched coaches. Maybe one year, maybe.
somebody add up he championships sweet 16's, BTT titles, final fours, NC's and NC final games OF MSU vs. the Field and lets see the totals. It's unbelivable what Izzo has done. Tell me the 60's count. Big Effin Deal. Izzo can't do a damn thing about them. He has established a priemer program that everyone, every coach, every analyst in America knows it. This is a BAD YEAR for MSU. I look up and we have 3 losses and we're in the top 20. A BAD YEAR.
Take your fan boy stuff out of here. It clouds any phony knowledge you might have had.
"The second is to think that Izzo elevated MSU's program...and in fact made it the premier program in the B10. Neither is anywhere close to being true. "
Pretty sure everyone sees the Izzo comment but you...
I'm pretty sure they don't.
Clearly you're just seeing what you want to see.. because it's right there- in black and white... can't hide from it.. but it's OK to just act blindly and assume it doesn't exist.

Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
and we got good at football in 2011 and MSU began to suck.

Izzo is the Lloyd Carr of basketball.
Didn't MSU win 11 games in 2011?
MSU didn't begin to suck this year. They just returned to suck.
Please. Lloyd Carr was lauded for his character and honesty and integrity. He was never suspended by the NCAA for cheating.
Gotta cheat to win. How else would we have gotten a superstar like Byrd if Izzo didn't cheat to get him? (at least, i'm pretty sure thats who the violation was for)
Please don't help me. You are messing up my entire argument.
and they will suck next year without Bell and Sims. For that matter, they will suck in 2014 when their team is gutted by graduation.
Oh, well, that's a whole other level of suck ... that's like double suck at least.
So will UM w/o Denard
But we still have playmakers Gallon, Gardner, Funchess, Dileo to name a few, and next year is the first time that we may have a better defense than MSU with Gholston going pro. If we have the better defense and offense, November 2nd in East Lansing will be brutal for the Spartans.
Dileo had 20 catches for 330 yards and 2 TD's on the year or basically the same production as MSU's #4 WR Tony Lippett (36/292/2)
Funchess had 15 catches and 200 yards, though 5 TDs.. but 15 catches is not exactly "playmaker-esk"
Gallon had a big year- but really only had 4 big games, SC, Iowa, NW, Bama (6 games under 35 yards).. but should be solid #1 WR at 5'8.
So if Dileo and Funchess are "playmakers" than MSU returns "playmakers" Fowler, Mumphry, Lippett and Burbridge and MSU has the better D and will be at home (or really, UM will be on the road, where Hoke is 1-5 vs teams with winning records).
Note who was QB for gallons best games.
Yep- Gallon def. benefited the most from the move over by Gardner.. Where did he line up vs SC? Was he the main #1 WR? Hard to imagine him being so short would be good on the outside, but who knows.
Roundtree X, Gallon Y
Gardner showed more in 5 games then Maxwell did the entire season. He accounted for 18 TDs.. a higher completion percentage, and almost double the YPA.
Also after he took over Gallon only went under 70 yards once.
Your offense hasn't shown any reason for optimism, and your defense is losing Gholston, Adams, White, and Norman... good luck with that.
You do realize that when we play next year, there's a good chance you won't be a winning team. Darn, too bad.
Cope are you ignoring me about ban bet?
If you are scared just admit it and I will drop it.
For how shitty UM is according to you, I wouldn't worry about losing so it's a no risk bet by you anyway.
SOS of schedule says Michigan suck, so let's make a bet.
