Was never the discussion
And neither was MSU/UM

You have to realize Due, that this cats opinion changes on the fly. When discussing Michigan/MSU recruiting during the Richrod years, he claimed Michigan didn't recruit similar kids as MSU does. When it was shown that RichRod signed 12 kids with MSU offers and offered 13 other kids that ended up committing to MSU, compared to Hoke's 23-3 recruiting advantage, he then claimed that Hoke would never take 3* kids like MSU does.
He then changed on a dime again when it was shown how many 3* kids Hoke has taken.
He then changed to Michigan only takes high level 3* kids, not the middling ones MSU takes.
When shown a quote from Cope showing that he firmly believes that Michigan recruits get a rating bump from 3* middling to high level 3*, he finally disappeared.
This cats opinion is blowing in the wind.
A Win is a Win, right?
Whether it be a Hail Mary pass, a fake FG or a fake punt, or a bone headed running into the kicker penalty.
The stat line of the Nebraska game doesn't tell the story. The scoreboard does. But you keep on trying to explain away all 11 victories. It's entertaining.

Yep you are right.. not attempting to take away the Neb W just replying to OP Hoke that said "Attention cope: So Nebraska just gave Michigan the game last year, huh? "
And spotting them 14 pts to start the 2H with b2b TO's was just that.
I might buy that if this was the first time you brought up the Sugar Bowl. However, I lost count how many times you have tried to discredit our Sugar Bowl win.
Ah- of course.. and then when I try to clarify my statements, those just go unnoticed by you and you continue to recycle the same argument against me time and time again.. it's getting a little old.
1st- you've never shown me any list that showed the 12 UM kids RR signed that had MSU offers
2nd- I already said that Hoke took some 3stars, but upon further review- he only took, on average, 4-5 "middling" or 5.6 3stars below each class. And that's significant because the majority of MSU's success was built on kids that were 5.6 or lower- so to think that UM would have just taken the majority of MSU's talent is just silly.
Then myself, as well as other MSU posters- discussed- well, if you are taking some of MSU's recruits- does that mean UM would still have all their pieces today? And of course- when you have nothing to refute, you just disappear until another thread is created
Still waiting on your response to "And...you would have taken Baker or Caper? Does this mean no Touissant? "
Huh. That's odd, cuz your posts indicate that that's exactly what you're doing.
The wind blew, time for Cope to move the goalpost.
Again- was simply responding to OP Hoke saying "Attention cope: So Nebraska just gave Michigan the game last year, huh? "
And those 2 TO's were a big reason why the score was a blowout
shocking- another deflection and still no answer
USC's big question mark is their coach. I always felt like the Kiffin hire at the time was a smart gamble. You see if he can be Pete Carrol pt II and if not once the sanctions are done you can oust him and hire someone else. He's definitely achieving the Pete Carol level of recruiting, if he can't get into a BCS game with the talent he has this year I think he goes on the hot seat.
You have a way of trying to slither out of what you originally stated, which was YOU say Nebraska gave the game away. You believe that. You can't be swayed from your opinion. And it's just another case of you desperately trying to explain away 11 wins. That's fine. I firmly believe the clock will strike 12 this season. Someone's carriage is turning to a pumpkin. Who that will be is a matter of opinion.
Well, at least we've unearthed fresh discussion points to talk about...
I cannot wait for football. I'm jonesin' real bad.
laconophilia is everywhere...
Depends. He might be able to use lack of depth as an excuse if USC doesn't do as well as many hope. But when they come off sanctions... expect them to take a class of 30+. That class will be beastly.
People on this board don't read the entire context of the conversation. I'm talking about the Michigan fan that wants OSU 11-0 going into the last game every year and i don't understand that mentality, i would rather have Michigan 0-12 every year.
Give it up. Nebraska was obliterated by Michigan. It was their best win of the year and it was earned.
class of 30+? That's not possible, is it?
Question for UM fans: Who are your captains going to be this year? Shoelace is probably an obvious choice, and I'd assume Kovacs as well. Who else? Figure Roh, Lewan, Demens and Floyd would all be candidates, maybe Roundtree?
For MSU, there are usually 3 captains with a 4th nominated by the players on a game-by-game basis. Likely candidates are Maxwell, McDonald, Caper, Bullough, Norman and Adams.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Surprised Norman isn't on on list for MSU and Schoefield isn't on list for UM
They should change the name to "here's the names of every multi-year starter from every team in the Big Ten"
"Sparty better put his thick skin on. From B1G runner-up to barely making a bowl, Michigan State will lose 6 games this season..."
No Michael Schofield (love that name from a Prison Break fan )? I thought he was pretty good.
and Bart Doan, whoever the hell he is, is predicting that they will beat Bama and their only possible loss is @Nebraska, right.
Started 10 games at Guard and is moving to Tackle. He looked good in the Spring, but that doesn't get the hype needed to get on a list like that.
