I think McDowell ultimately goes blue, but I don't think he does this soon.
As for Treadwell and Ferns, I am very unsure. Treadwell I also think goes blue, but I have no idea why he's waited this long, which means that I have no idea why he'd wait longer than the bbq, which means that I have absolutely no idea. Ferns I am unfamiliar with.
Wait, isn't Treadwell 2013? Would he be on a 2014 commit watch list?
Edit: or was the Treadwell comment simply separate from the '2014 commitment watch' group?

laconophilia is everywhere...
No worries. Just having a little fun. You're one of the few who doesn't go postal from good natured sarcasm.
lol, I save my 'going postal' moments for during the season. It's overwhelmingly unsatisfying to get overly worked up in the offseason.
I always allow a one game swing either way, so 6 +/- 1 sounds about right. Your schedule is a bit tougher. No FAU and YSU this year.
In his defense, the link was from the same site.
If nothing else, I think it shows that their viewpoints are anything but congruent and collected...
Aint that da trufe
My prediction is both Treadwell (2013) and Ferns (2014) with an outside shot at McDowell (2014).
No FAU and YSU....which are replaced by Boise and CMU... So you think we will lose to Boise and CMU at the very least, plus several other games we won this past year?
I'm cool with the prediction, I won't hold it against you b/c it isn't in the realm of ludicrously foolish. But I have to say the reasoning has me a bit confused...
What's everyone's predictions for Ohio State this year?
I'm reading a lot of people having them at 9-3.
Yeah, like I said, Treadwell is long overdue. McDowell I wonder about. He's obviously a heavy blue lean, and I think will ultimately go UM, but he strikes me as someone who might like to enjoy 'the process' a bit more.
2008 (After RR was hired) - T. Hill
2009 - W. Campbell, T. Gordon, C. Gordon, J. Turner, M. Schofield
2010 - T. Talbott, T. Talbott, J. Black, A. White, D. Gardner, C. Pace
As far as taking Caper over Toussaint... I don't know what the staff would've done. They obviously liked Toussaint a lot to take him in April.
I see them losing @MSU, either @WIS or @PSU, and I think against UM is a toss-up.
So I'll go with 10-2, but actually not for the reasons I listed, HA! I'll guess they lose to MSU and UM.
they have an easy schedule so it's likely that they will go 9-3 even though I think they are overrated and Urban Meyer is just making people think they are going to be worldbeaters this year

We are college football
I couldn't agree more that they're overrated. I think Fickell was a poor HC, but their outlook after last season was 6-6'ish, now with Meyer it's 11-1. I do not understand the unmitigated optimism. Their schedule is definitely easy, especially if Wisconsin or PSU struggle. Idk, they got a good class, but I don't expect that to win any games for them until 2013.
"They should change the name to "here's the names of every multi-year starter from every team in the Big Ten" "
To me, a multi-year starter is someone that's actually started and played 2 full years, not someone who started in year 1, and is just slated to start in year 2. In the year after, year 3, so to speak, you would call those people "multi-year" starters.
Those MSU players he listed are all projected starters for '12, but were 1st year starters in '11. They only have 1 year of starter PT under their belt, so to speak. If you revise your OP to mean "every returning starter from every team in the Big 10", then your current post makes more sense. The only multi-year starter on that list from MSU is McDonald.
Furthermore, it's a preseason watch list, who do you expect to be on it? true/RS FR? Guys who haven't started a game yet? Of course it's going to be returning starters; guys who have already played well and proven themselves. Furthermore, they didn't include every returning starter from the Big 10; there are several players from MSU/UM alone who aren't on the list who have started 1 full season and are going into their 2nd year of starting (From MSU: France, Jackson, Fonoti, Norman. From UM: Schofield, Barnum? (maybe, I get your interior OL confused), Omameh, Roh, Ryan/Morgan)
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Games Ohio might lose: UCF, Cal, UW, MSU, UM, UI, PU.
Depending on how they do early (i.e. how much they struggle with an entirely new offense), they easily could lose one of UCF and Cal. Wisky's on the road, but is replacing the best QB they've had in decades. UM game is impossible to predict. MSU will depend on whether MSU brings an offense (you didn't last year). I think 9-3 is about right +/- 1.

@ND, @Neb, @OSU, UM, Wisky is harder than ND, Neb, OSU @UM, @Wisky?
I think schedule is much more manageable than 2011
9-3 is about right.. schedule is easy.. but they should lose @MSU and @Wisky and one of @PSU, UM, Cal
Wisky game is also 2nd to last of the season in mid-November
DOB should be fine by then in terms of the system
You got clubbed last year by ND and you are trading YSU for BSU. Funny how one little letter can make such a huge difference. You also have UM and Wisky on the road. That's four losses right there. Oh, and OSU gets to play with their entire team this year. Make it five. You better beat your cupcakes or Sparty will be chillin'at home come bowl season.

Man alive, I wish I could just say things with little or no regard to how insane they sound (oh to be a UM fan)
OK.. let's do it
Bama- please L
@ND- Not so sure Denard's able to cook up a 60 yard completion off broken coverage with 23 seconds left- road night game- almost auto L there
@Neb- road night game week after MSU game- auto L
@OSU- 3 misfires by Miller to Posey cost OSU a W by 10+- OSU's bowl game
MSU- Lost 4 straight, Denard still QB, MSU, even with piss rush O as pointed out by multiple UM fans rushed for 200+ on UM's D- UM DL '11 > UM DL '12
Iowa- Haven't beaten Iowa in years- no reason to think that'll change now
Man- you are right- that is fun!!!
They showed some flashes of brilliance last year with their offense, Fickle seemed way in over his head the job. Do they have enough talent to win the B10?
Ahhh, a classic debate technique. When you can't win the argument, change the topic. We aren't discussing UM's likely season. We're discussing Sparty's. The only reasonable conclusion left for a judge to make is that you agree with me.
