I feel like Mattison can only do so much this year on defense with the talent Michigan has available. I think Mattison does get the best out of who Michigan has on defense, but other defenses simply have more talented players. Hopefully this will start to change as future recruiting classes come in (feel free to bash me for predicting a better defense in the coming years based off of recruits who haven't played a snap or are still in high school lol).
So Toussaint is apparently preparing to play in the Bama game.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Why are you changing the subject?
Oh boy here we go again...LOL!!!
I have to say this Narduzzi vs. Mattison is at the very least a fresh pissing match. Carry on.
Okay, that means the Bobby Williams and John L. Smith era don't count because they both sucked. We have a 5-0 game win streak against UofM.

I think he plays and I have no problem with it if the coach doesn't either. We may make smartass comments back and forth to each other becasue of topics like this, but in the end the coaches are doing what best for the young men and for the program.
This is such a bad idea. If he plays it will reinforce the idea that there aren't consequences for your actions. That being said it would be a huge help and I hope he plays.

That's generally my thought. I don't really comment on player discipline, mostly because we don't know what the coaches know.
From a football perspective (which is really all I care about), it definitely helps Michigan's chances vs. Bama.
I firmly believe that there are consequences. Just because we don't see them, doesn't mean Fitz didn't have to deal with them. Same goes for almost every other coach and his program when dealing with the young men.
It is pretty funny though that the other year we had to endure tons of slams about Rucker and now both fan bases have reached a very level headed line of thought to this issue.
I think a lot of the Spartans (including those on the RCMB) have shown some considerable restraint.
I agree there are consequences, unfortunately I made my post sound way too simple. What I meant was more along the lines of the fact that if Fitz plays, people might get the wrong impression that certain players will play regardless of what they do and others won't. But I definitely agree that there have been consequences that only Michigan coaches/Fitz are privy to.
Here's a career blunder.

How else would you expect him to practice? Any punishment is not yet decided, so until then, prepare as if you were going to play, no? Personally, I hope he sits, but who knows what's really going to happen.
Some won't. I'd love for any "convert" to say, you know I slammed Dantonio for Rucker, but now maybe I see there are two three or four sides to consider in making these decisions. I don't think a wolverine will ever admit to slamming Dantonio or even Izzo for nix, I doubt a Spartan who is currently slamming Hoke will admit to defending Dantonio/Rucker. It is what it is and you are who you are.
YOUR have been banned from reading and posting on the Michigan Wolverine board.
Let's be honest, this isn't Mustaine's first such blunder.
Looks like Obama just lost the megadeath vote. I wonder if they even vote?
I laughed about the Rucker thing just a few days ago.
I'm embarrassed if he does, should sit till ND IMO.
I'd sit him for 2 games. I think til ND is a little bit too long. He's a first time offender and he fully cooperated with police.
Ill disagree only w trcmb part. We will get shredded there if he plays. Kind of like when big wills dukes of hazzard reenactment, which technically was a potential felony, the felony word was being thrown around as if it was murder 1. I wish I had rocky's restraint when it comes to this, but its a poor decision IMO, if he plays
Like I say, not too many will admit to anything
There's always going to be some one mouthing off, but if you saw OPTI's post today I think it's representative of the current thought stream that we all understand an athlete is going to have an athlete get in trouble.
Cant' really cast stones in a glass house anymore.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what Rucker is up to these days? Maybe this could be a good measure of how Dantonio handled the situation. Hopefully the guy learned from his mistakes and is doing well in life.
Honestly, I don't care at all about how athletes are punished. I'm not privy to any of the information or on-goings behind the scenes. As far as I'm concerned, the consequences from the judicial system are enough for me.
As I'm sure mgobloggers are still upset about Rucker/ nix. I could never play/coach/ or watch a game with extreme people like that from both those boards.
