You know we got dragged here along with the RCMB because trevor sold his site for 14 bucks some trinkets and firewater to the 247 overlords here. None of us joined the RCMB because of "recruiting" business. We're like the grateful dead followers, Trevor is the dead, we're just following him from venue to venue for ten years or so. This venue has, by far, been the worst one. We don't play well with others.
Hey, I'm all for cheating. If you aint cheating you aint trying.
That would be huge. One of the top kids in the class for that year.
If Narduzzi left, would he follow Narduzzi?
Buy the site from him. You've got bucks. And HC can run it for you. He says he wants to be a CEO some day and I figure this will be his best chance. You can rename it Wags World and ban anyone who even mentions recruiting rankings.
Tell the truth. You stole that from Narduzzi.
Sounds like him, but If you're seriously asking, I believe I got it from the sirus radio college station I listen to the Alabama guy who says it once in a while. I kow he's joking, but we know he means it in a way that we all know the SEC cheats like crazy. Never as bad as you all did in basketball and baseball, but nonetheless, they do it well.
All I care about with football is being entertained by it. Following where some 5 star recruit is going to commit just isn't my cup of tea.
Come on now, when I buy businesses, if they're successful, the worst thing you can do is change names, you should know that barister. You buy the name and hopefully their customers as well. I'm shocked the overlords here got Trevor's site for some whiskey and a trip to florida. Trevor is not a business man.
My lack of interest in recruiting has nothing to do with our schools performance on the field. We are all just spectators.

Idk. Trading all you crazy people for a case or two of good whiskey doesn't sound like such a bad deal to me.

Would you like to take over for Roushar?
What could it hurt?
How about they give all the MSU season ticketholders a PS3 controller and let them pick the plays. Whichever play gets the most votes pops up on a screen to the OC and he radios it down to the field. It would be epic.
But then who could the RCMB blame our woes on? Hey, that might be epic too. Everyone on that board would be blaming everyone else. "I didn't call that play, you idiots did, I wanted the bubble screen!" "assholes".
Well, it is a big business with millions following it. We all have our own interest.
That whole mob has reached insane levels. I thought he called a great game against UofM and has done a pretty good job most of the year.
We need to figure out how to get a better OL and gain experience at the skill positions to execute the plays. That's the main issue IMO.
I honestly think you guys should quit bashing Roushar, and start blaming Maxwell, the WRs, the overweight TE, the overweight LB/DE/FB, the broken OL, and the slow RB.
I haven't followed Roushar, but many of us objective outside third parties warned you that replacing all your offensive skill players at once would be bumpy. The first few games, your QB had no touch and your WRs couldn't catch. Also, your OL was ok, but not great. Then you lost two OLmen and Sims got nicked up and it all went to hell. The good news is Burbridge has emerged as a star and Maxwell is getting better at varying his ball speed. He still needs to work on throws to his left, but if you can stabilize your offensive line your passing game should continue to get better (especially when Sims is back 100%). And your D is still probably #1 in the league (though we are a very close #2).
Btw ... why doesn't the OL coach get any heat from you guys? Your OL has been mediocre for several years.

If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
4/5 stars tend to do better. Just look at Joe Bolden, James Ross, Dennis Norfleet, Ondre Pipkins, and Devin Funchess. They are all 4/5 stars and are our best freshmen.
1. The players OSU and USC wanted were wanted by most everybody. That is the case for most 5 and top level 4 star guys.
2. There are exceptions and coaches that are better talent evaluators, but you over-emphasise how often that happens. There are hundreds of coaches and talent evaluaators. A lot of kids that are driven to play at the next level have received tons of attention. Some late-bloomers and others slip through the cracks, but it is clearly not the way it usually goes.
3. The statistics of the rankings prevail most times. It has prevailed EVERY time in recent memory for NC winners, but that streak could be broken by a rare exception. High ranked recruits guarantyee nothing, but they indicate a lot.
4. If MD is a rising star in talent evaluation, then look out. RichRod didn't go after many of the same guys and batted less than .500 in head to head battles with Dantonio. It made MD's life esier. Hoke is crushing it with kids that Dantonio's "keen eye" also offers. That means Michigan will really benefit IF it turns out that those recruits are really "better" because they have a MSU offer IN ADDITION to high recruit rankings. Giggity...wait a couple years!!
5. Why the choice of Terry or Morris? Dantonio offered Morris first. He might prefer Morris to Terry if forced to answer honestly. THIS is why the "I like the guys we got" thing is not the realy way to evaluate...just homerism.
From Spartan tailgate: "One fact that plays in MSU’s favor is they were the first school to begin recruiting Morris as a freshman. Morris attended three MSU home games last season and has felt like part of the MSU family every time he takes a trip to East Lansing. Coach Mark Dantonio told Morris that he would be a great fit with what the staff is trying to accomplish at MSU."
I thinhk terry will do fine, but to say "there is not a chance in hell" you would "trade" Terry for him is really pushing it IMO.

Odd. So, if you see CMU on the upcoming schedule, do you think it is just another game? What if you see Bama on the scedule? Why get hyped up for it? It is just a game and we are just spectators.
How about wanting to see Burbridge play? He was a highly rated recruit that you hear rumors of things he can do (none of them on the college field before he got his first start)....were you as excited to watch him as any other player? Maybe a little more aniticipation?
how about Will Gholston? His reputation was based on talent evlauation hype? Dis you every look for #2 down on the field?
It depends. Top talent guys can only make you a few wins better. Evaluating and coaching can only make you a few wins better. Both together is NC material which is what we're getting with Hoke.
I wonder what he'll think once we offer qbs for 2014.
