Wait! You got 8 gallons of water and only 12 beers? WTF is wrong with you? Good luck.....you're gonna need it.
Oh wait....I overlooked the Xanax. Nevermind.
Iowa +1.5 @ Indiana
Nebraska +1.5 @ MSU
Are the stars aligning for Michigan v. Indiana in the BTCCG?
Iowa is bad. I still can't believe MSU lost to them . . . but then again, MSU is not a good team either.
Oh, Klima was wondering about Maxwell at home vs. the road. Here's some knowledge:
Maxwell has hit 60% of his passes or better in every single road game and has a 7:1 TD to INT ratio on the road.
Maxwell has not eclipsed 58% passing at home and has a 2:4 TD to INT ratio in Spartan Stadium
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Good thing this week will probably feel like a road game...
laconophilia is everywhere...
Did you see what they did to NW's stadium? Apparently, NW even had to go to a silent count on their final drive. Brutal.
It's going to be bad. There are lower bowl tickets available for like $15 on Stub Hub right now. Worst. Fanbase. Ever.
I don't get it. You just pulled off a great W against Wisky and this is the first visit by Nebraska to SS since they joined the conference. It should be a tough ticket to get.
It's a Lions-like, pessimistic attitude; if things aren't going wrong now, it's only a matter of time until they start to.
It's irritating as all hell, and won't change for awhile.
I'll tell you how to fix it ... punch Nebraska in the mouth. Nothing makes fans regret selling their tickets more than when they miss a great game that ends with W.
I have confidence it will change, it will just take 10 straight bowl games, a couple B1G titles, a Rose, and a cumulative 70% win percentage.
And continuing to pull out close games.
Oh, and a lack of blowouts at home (these are extremely detrimental to the cause).
I haven't been on since Saturday, and I don't feel like reading dozens of pages, so to start some discussion over Saturday's game: I am really unimpressed with Borges, he doesn't seem to be the type of guy that can field a competitive offense unless he is using NFL Players at several positions. He doesn't seem like an x's and o's guy, or a Jimmy's and the Joe's type of guy. He seems to be a solid recruiter, but the staff is full of those. So I have decided to join the Fire Borges! Bandwagon. What say you tBB?

This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
Shit I love football but we are a basketball school. We need to win at least four years in a row to get fans there.
YOUR have been banned from reading and posting on the Michigan Wolverine board.
A semi-serious reply would have been appreciated. Whatever though.
It's a chicken-or-the-egg argument. Team needs a strong homefield in order to win those games, but the fans won't come out unless MSU is winning. Last year the squad was 8-2 with a chance to clinch the Big 10 against IU . . . . and there were maybe 60,000 people in the stands on Senior day. Winningest QB in MSU history was playing his last home game, and the students couldn't be bothered to show up.
So now MSU wins a big game against Wisconsin, has a huge match-up against Nebraska . . . . and I'd be shocked if there were fewer than 15,000 Nebraska fans in Spartan Stadium on Saturday.
Iowa, for homecoming . . . game goes to OT. MSU gets to choose what side of the field that OT is going to be played on. State chooses the North endzone, aka, the visitor's endzone because there were more fans there than the South endzone, where the students are. Totally embarrassing.
Wait till you see what he can do with pro-style personnel. He gets a pass, IMHO, for being handed Denard. He's not a spread OC by trade, so he's trying to make the most of what he's got.
If in 2014 UM is struggling on O, then get a new OC.
You guys wanna do us a huge favor and beat Corn?
There are just some strategical mistakes that he makes that no HS Coach would make. He is painfully predictable and runs PA off of runs that aren't actually in the offense, to name a few.
Exactly. And people are rewriting history when they claim our offense under spread guru Rich Rod was so much better. It was fine against mediocre teams, but it was shut down repeatedly by teams with good defenses. And Denard was regularly knocked out of games. Borges is not the problem. This gimmicky offense we are transitioning away from is the problem.

Everyone makes mistakes man. Playcalling was pretty good last year, right? You guys had a pretty darn productive offense overall.
Sometimes players don't execute, or you have youth/lack of depth at a particular position. Same calls could be made against the same D, but with much worse results, based on personnel.
Now, if he struggles for a few years with his preferred personnel, then you can light a fire under him. All those big time OL you recruited take time to develop, and there will be growing pains as you transition into pro-style blocking schemes.
If you have a Junior Shane Morris in his 3rd year starting with veteran WRs and OL in 2015, and he's still calling passes to the FB in the flat on 3rd and 11, then string him up by his toenails. Till then, patience is a virtue.
Bring the hammer!

Just a little something to remind everyone that there are plenty of fanbases just as frustrated as we are ...

Aren't you guys in wait and see mode on Borges? I'd probably want to wait and see his offense once you get Morris in.
Borges with Denard is a square peg for a circle hole.
BTW, how is it in Michigan right now? I heard of some power outages and weather issues? I heard a substation blowing up last night and that was some crazy s**t. I'm fortunate to have power and I am safe.
Leyland is back in 2013! Welcome back Smokey, glad to have you running our team.
