We were automatically selected to the BCS in 2004, 2005, and 2007 I believe because Ohio went to the NC game and the rules sent us to the Rose. The other two years we were where we needed to be in the top 14.
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
NIU and UL say
While i agree with you on this topic, Neither of those two were at large selections...
I don't understand. I thought being an automatic selection was good and an at-large selection was bad. You and Cope need to get together and decide.
Being an automatic selection means you earned it. Being an at-large selection means you earned a top 14 ranking (or 16 in some scenarios) and can sell out a stadium.
Regardless, MSU did neither of these things the past two years.
3 years ago is another story, but not one I care to rehash.
laconophilia is everywhere...
Then, by your definition, NIU and UL earned it.
Because it decides who plays in the NC. The BCS doesn't update after the game is played, only the polls are updated therefore that ranking is pre-January 8th. Typical a sparty wouldn't know that.
Nothing more. That's it.
Notre dame: 12-1 and #1. But a sparty wouldn't know that

I would call you a typical Wolverine, but even your fan base can't all be this ignorant.
Marble not playing tonight? Wow. Now I understand the line.
Love to see Byrd and Gauna in early in a B1G road game
Harris should be a superstar but he tends to disappear for long stretches in games.

Byrd being wide open, only to pass and cause a TO doesn't really add up either
Go to a site with credibility. For instance, espn, click on rankings, then BCS and be amazed when nothing comes up. I'll wait.....
By the way that can't possibly be a real BCS system because Ohio who is ineligible for BCS play is ranked third.

You're not too smart are you..
One of the computers that makes up the BCS had ND #1 after the title game..
Looks like someone wasns BCS guru Brad Edwards shared an interesting piece of information Thursday morning via his Twitter account, noting that one BCS computer kept Notre Dame at No.

Didn't Ohio jail sex some AQ team in their bowl?

And that's grand regardless, they still aren't #1.
And to prove my point read the 5th paragraph of your article, and tell me how I'm wrong again.....

Payne's having a good game. He gets up and down the floor really well. Nix.....not so much.
Nix, Trice, Appling, Valentine all playing poor
Valentine is lost right now. TOs galore and losing his man on defense. Trice refuses to blow through a ball screen
The point is that a computer formula is obviously poor if it would have Notre Dame ranked 1st at this point. The fact that Colley never submitted this ranking to the BCS is irrelevant.
Man, you aren't smart. The BCS is made up of several different polls and computer rankings. Those are the colley rankings, which is one of the computer rankings used in the BCS formula.
That was an impressive flop by Trice.
I don't want to hear any more Sparty fans complain about flops after that one.
