Wags! We're trying to put the stupidity of an unnamed poster on display. Oh well.
You know, I think that AppState loss signaled the impending fall at UM. But the question is, why then? What changed?
Some in this thread have been vocal about their belief that MSU athletics only do well when UM is struggling. But what if it's actually that UM can't sustain success while MSU is good? That they are unable to keep up?
I guess their fears from the 30's and 40's have been realized. They knew the only way to have sustained success was to keep MSU out of the B1G.
laconophilia is everywhere...
Aww, I made someone mad.
Wags, edit this please. We'll get one of them to blame RR for that loss, happens every time.

I hit you with an upvote. As far as the struggles with the '07 team go I don't really have an explanation. There was still some pretty good players on the team, and they proved against Florida that they could beat teams that were fairly good. I was a lot younger then so I don't remember a ton, but at times it seemed like Michigan was conservative to the point where it hurt them. They were also inconsistent. I don't know how much of that is on the players, and how much of that is on Carr.
He won a national title. Who is the last MSU coach to win a NT in football?
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
KSU has the best win though. The other wins are irrelevant. It only matters who has the best win. That's what you told us for the first three months of the season.

You are all over the map.
Who was the last UM coach to win more than 1/2 of a national title? I bet MSU's was more recent...
No worries. I was trolling and don't much care about my rating (that's a lie, it defines me).
I was just messing around, I think Carr was a good coach. Not a world beater, but you knew that UM was going to win 8+ games every year and compete for the B1G title until the end. Honestly, I remember thinking that it was funny for UM fans to want Carr out, when he had basically achieved the same (or more) success as the best UM coach post WWI. I think UM fans had grown and incredible sense of entitlement, that they thought that UM deserved 10+ wins a year and national championships because of their goofy looking helmets. Well, now that entitled mentality seems to be coming back to the fan base, although it fortunately isn't as unanimous this time around.

YOUR have been banned from reading and posting on the Michigan Wolverine board.
Illinois beats Indiana!
I wish i could bump my "IU plays mediocre away from assembly hall" post from September.
Just google that and your username and I bet it will be a top result.
Hell yes. Great finish. I can't believe Illinois came back from that deficit and then have a guy pop open under the basket on the inbound. Illinois is scary, they can beat anybody and they can lose to anybody.
A lot of the '07 struggles were directly tied to the 1 in a million chance needle that hit the nerve in Henne's shoulder after one of the first few games (App or Oregon).
He was literally not throwing all week except Saturdays. It's no wonder our offense looked a bazillion times better in the bowl game versus Florida (that and the awesome shotgun looks we had) when Henne had some time to heal and wasn't slinging the ball around with a noodle.
Not an excuse, injuries happen. Just one of the main reasons we struggled due playing either a true frosh or a guy without an arm.
Bo was the best coach post WWII (Crisler coached around that time) in terms of consistency. Lloyd's teams were consistent at being inconsistent.
Welp, if UM beats Wisky.. #1 UM at MSU on Tuesday..
Believe they've never met when both are in the top 10
Payback is a b*****
Duke up 21 on NC State at the half .. threw up almost 60
Dakich going off on IU fans
Lemme guess #Bb I mean IU nation..refs screwed IU/Crean can't coach..is that what's coming..in Minn waitin on flight will watch game tnight
Wow the #HoosierNation is actually thinking and watching and not just crazy blaming how very un Big Blue Nation of u
i dont get the Kentucky references.
That's what I thought.
UM/Kentucky perhaps are whiners? He has read some IU board and perhaps the fans weren't melting down? Someone should send him to the RCMB after a loss.
Wait I get it now, Dakich is an IU fan, right?
I think he's just taking shots at Kentucky.

That's what I'm thinking. Akin to a UM fan taking shots at OSU.
Of course, the funny part is that he's openly a fan of one of the schools he covers. I hate Dickie V with a passion, but at least he tries to pretend a little.
