I just sat in a Defensive clinic put on by Grand Valley coach Matt Mitchell. I like this guy. I think he's going to move up the ranks. He's a defense first guy with a solid 3-4 pressuring D.
Keep your eye out for him in the future.
Gee I think I'll check out a couple high school games next fall to see what this one particular high school is gonna run on defense.

Watching all those Russian video's today, one thing comes to mind: what's up with all the dash cams in Russia?
I'm still here and kickin.

From RCMB, MSU's TO percentage by month...
FEB 11.8 --- #3 nationally, #1 in power conferences
Izzo's offensive schemes are so complex that the turnover rate generally doesn't decrease until the BTT, if ever. I don't remember an Izzo coached team cutting their turnovers so drastically at this point of the season.
I'm not sure if that means we're bound for more success than usual (ie - a national title), or if it means it's a fluke.
laconophilia is everywhere...
They were moving the ball really well the other night, the passing was some of the best I've seen in a long time.
Would you ever coach CFB Due?
Due is Bobby Williams doing special teams there right now? If so, grab him after and just say "wags tells me you owe him money from the MADA dice game still". Just see what he says. I promise you you'll get a great reaction.
Damn, I left before the evening sessions Wags or I would have. He was there doing special teams.
The DC from Wayne St is one intense mofu. He crammed about 5 weeks of stuff in 35 minutes. I needed a Xanax after 15 minutes. Dude could probably use some decaf.
Steve, has I chosen this path right out of college, I'd have pursued college. But I got married and that pretty much put an end to anything I wanted to do.
I actually got a text telling me he was there. Damn. I was one year into high school administration in the late 80's single making more money then any assistant college football coach. I was offered a grad ass job but was making more green then any assistant at MSU. So I screwed up and said I'm way better off. 5 years later assistants were making a crap ton of money and I was married. Bad move. Five years after that, Bobby was near a million dollars a year and when he'd invite me back we'd still shoot dice and even though he was almost a millionaire then he'd keep all his money he won in dice games even though most head coaches would play till they lost about a grand to visiting coaches. One night I made a sizable wager on what would be the next roll Bobby passed the dice, said eff you wags I'm leaving and walked out with a crap load of our money and never played again. Everytime most of us were ever asked to work a camp in the summer we'd ask if he would have a dice night he'd say "are you effing working or not". He's a great guy. Had I known he was there earlier, I'd have met you tonight. If you get a chance grab him. Great guy.
Friday Bracketology. Michigan down to 2 in Texas, MSU up to 2 in DC.

Do you guys think Woodson is ok? I think it's going to take an MSU loss and a uofm victory to get him back. He lives way to vicariously through uofm sports. Somebody pm'ed me he's been busy defending Hoke's ambiguous visit policy that some espn guy ripped on.
Come on Woodson, this is all fun. We want you for our bracket challenge. It'll be a chance to redeem your basketball knowledge.
Who does Michigan got this weekend? Which team will have a hangover from Tuesday? I fear this is the game MSU craps the bed. There's always one.

No crapping the bed for MSU. We're trending upwards, haven't peaked yet. still about a month to go before we do.

I watched Tuesday's game again last night. If that wasn't our "peak" I don't know what will be. We had some lucky plays - that Nix tip in you can see about three guys on both teams just kind of shake their head. I remember from high school Bball sometimes those nights happen. Where "luck" didn't occur IMO was on defense. That was a masterpiece. If that team can
maintain that focus on what their rules and rolls are, then we have a legit shot at the final four.
I know this will drive the Michigan people crazy, but I'd prefer not to play three tough games in the BTT. not this year. You're going to have to play a top 10 team in our
semi's and final, then get one break in the first round the following Thursday or Friday then buckle up for three to five games of hell. Winning the BTT is great for us message board guys, but I wonder if going home and resting legs that weekend isn't better. Take your chance with a lower seed.
We're only gonna get better Wags. Watch.
If that is so, I'm excited. I just don't think we should read too much into Tuesday's game. Neither should Michigan. Still lots of Bball left.
Yep, i'd be perfectly fine with a loss to Illinois or Minnesota after the BTT bye. I'd probably be happy with it.
valentine, Costello, Gauna and Byrd all have a lot of room to improve and contribute.
This thread should be taken as pure entertainment with a a bit of information on the side.
Woodson I'm sorry I ripped on you for calling Tom Izzo too old to coach.
The UM fans alumni fans have lost it. Side walkers seem unphased. Tell me again that it's not different if you went there.
ShawLaneSpartan: There are some rumblings that Roushar will be hired as NO running backs coach. Just rumblings at this point, could be totally false.
Michigan plays Illinois in Ann Arbor on Sunday afternoon.
Do you have anyone on staff that would be promoted or any names that you'd want to see as OC if he leaves?
