lol grasping at straws. USC went 7-5 before Lattimore and Clowney arrived then went 10-2 when both were on campus.
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
They beat the same Alabama team that pulverized msu
Again all msu fans can say is well 41-14 mother%$ckers UM won't ever be on Alabama's level!
So how come South Carolina won back to back 11 win seasons if it wasn't Clowney and Lattimore. Spurrier had been there for 5/6 years before and had never had a team reach those heights.
So they were obviously able to compete with Alabama.
We only had two 5 stars on our team who were true freshman during that game. According to Dinardo, Pipkins and Kalis have been killing spring practice. That's a good sign when a former coach says that.
Yep.. I'm sure that had everything to do with Lattimore and Clowney and nothing to do with the fact they didn't play Bama or LSU and only faced TWO ranked teams the entire season..
So App State could compete with UM because they beat them?
Awesome logic.. no idea why you only have 3 stars..
You guys do realize that the # of 5* players is predetermined for every class by most services. How could that possibly be accurate?
They have acknowledged that player ratings are all relative to the player's class. Therefore, comparing 5* players across classes is virtually meaningless.
laconophilia is everywhere...
When UM's last B1G Title?
Can't even win the B1G.. but feel free to put UM on the same level as Bama
Do you not see the delusion?
But by your standards they didn't have back to back 11 win seasons I thought?
We really just should let BCS, Brady and Due talk amongst themselves.. they'll tire out eventually
I never said Michigan was on Alabama's level on the field yet...I said they should be pretty soon.
Brady Hoke has only been coaching for two years dude. You can't seriously be saying that this regime will be bad because Lloyd at the end of his career and RR failed to deliver.
I have to check it. I just looked up the record not who they beat. If they won their bowl games, I'll subtract it from their record. Still it's a huge difference between 7-5 and 10-2 and it's not because of the color of Spurriers socks. It's because they landed two of the best recruits in the nation.
Always next year..
Tell ya what, actually win something on the field.. run through the apparently weak B1G.. then come back here and start wagging your tail about actual results. Until then, it's all fluff.. UM hasn't won a B1G title in 9 years and is coming off a 5 loss season. Get a grip.
yup still grouping Lloyd and RR with Hoke. You could make the same arguments against an Alabama fan at the start of the Saban regime saying that wouldn't be elite because they hadn't won anything in the year's prior to that. It is very stupid to say Michigan won't do something because coaches in the past couldn't do anything.

Or because their schedule was easy..
2011- 10 RS wins.. TWO ranked teams all year (1-1)
2012- 10 RS wins.. FOUR ranked teams all year (2-2).. and Lattimore got hurt prior to SC winning 4 straight to end the year..
Soooo.. how could it just be because of the two 5 stars if the two 5 stars were only on the field together for 1.5 years, that resulted in 17 total wins. 17 wins over two years is only 8.5 wins per year.
And I'm guessing Bama fans weren't spouting off at the mouth thinking they were elite after going 7-6 either..
And here are Saban's years at Bama..
12-2 (division title)
14-0 Conference and NT
13-1 Conference and NT
Liiiitle different than the Hoke regime at UM, huh??

What did DiNardo say about MSU's spring practices last year?
Was Schilling on the team last year?
Was Donovan Warren on the team?
Was Ryan Mallett?
Was Will Campbell?
They didn't play any of the elite SEc teams after lattimore got hurt.
Spring Football Tour over. No dominant team in B1G after spring ball. #Spartans best team after spring from top to bottom.
Hoke's first two years 11-2 and 8-5. Saban's first two years 7-6 and 12-2 sounds about on par. Both went to the Sugar bowl in their program's first two year years. The only difference is that Hoke won and Saban lost.
So? They also won those games with only ONE of the 5 stars.. so maybe it wasn't because of the two 5 stars that they won all those games, now was it?
