On competitive balance as a lower priority this time around ...
Delany: It was a third principle. It was the first one in our last go-round.
And if they used the last year, MSU would be a 5 or 6 seed. As you said, it's all about time frames.
Isn't the last 5 years considered part of the last 20 years??
And if they used 2008, UM would have been last.
And one would assume the first principle was simply drawing a line down the middle of the map, and putting teams on one side in the East.. other teams in the West
But they didn't. They used the last 20 years. As you like to say, you are what your record is. And your record is about 7th or 8th in the conference over the past 20 years depending on where you insert RUT and UMD. It's now very clear where the threat is in the B10 ... and it's not EL.
Cope can you do the whole world a favor and just stop breathing? You're doing nothing for this world except stealing my oxygen. We'd all be better off if your parents would of been on the pill. You've single handily have ruined this thread. Get off your parents couch and take a look at the outside world instead of sitting at a computer and hitting refresh every 10 seconds. Put the anime porn away and most of all quit being the biggest dbag on the face of the planet.
And I'm not sure any MSU fan would argue with you on that.
Yep. Going to be a fun season.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Uhhh, you're an MSU fan. You argue about everything.
Not that. MSU as a program over the last 20 years has been very average.. will take more than a couple 11 win seasons and a B1G Title to change that.
Dantonio's done wonders for MSU, but there's still a long way to go
Should allow Schilling to RS now and bring Kaminski along slowly with Costello getting big step up in PT
Can I quote this in the future? It might be the only sane (honest?) thing you've ever written.

Tweet from a Spartan
"F'd constantly. This year or bust now apparently"
Per @MSUDersh, MSU returns 85.4% of scoring, 82.6% of rebounding, 88.1% of assists, 86.5% of steals, 82.1% of blocks, 86.4% of minutes.
MSU in the east? That's unbelievable! That's...criminal!
Mlive >> Michigan State has no plans to drop Notre Dame, Alabama, Miami despite 9-game Big Ten schedule
2016.. @Bama, vs. ND, 9 B1G teams
Pretty much our schedule in 2012.
Gotta disagree on PSU. They have 0 room for recruiting errors or attrition through 2017. I think they'll be hard pressed to replicate an 8-4 record in '13 - '18 at least.
Which is stupid. Regardless of the division, MSU has to face at least 3 of the following each season, and likely 4: UNL, tOSU, UM, PSU, Wisky
Quite frankly, it's all about tOSU and whether you face them in the regular season or in the CCG. Let's be honest here: both UM and MSU had very legit shots at beating tOSU this past year, and they nearly lost to Purdue and IU. I think this league has more parity than 15 years ago or so and I'd expect some very very intense division races.
Whatever. Players play fans bitch slap. Being seeded is much like September heismans and recruiting trophies. I'm sure it gets some geeks excited for whatever reason, but at the end of the day it scores you zero points on the field. Still have to play and win. Everybody is on scholarship.
Same with AP coming back, he hasn't scored a point yet. Hope he has a good year but bad things can happen. I don't think Izzo or Dantonio ever get in a fetal position over this crap. Too competitive.
But Michigan kicked our ass this year as they announced their return to glory. It was an epic ass whipping
This is why this mofo is a Spartan for life:
“My focus is on 2013,” Dantonio said after his seventh spring game as the Spartans’ head coach. “We’ll deal with the (rest later). . . . That’s other people’s problem. If they’re in the conference with us, it’s their problem. They’re the ones who have to deal with it.”
That man believes that to his very marrow too.
Their margin for error is tight. The next few years will be tough, but injuries will be the key. Their starting talent should compete with most teams. When they have to dip into the 2 deep is where they will see a significant drop in talent. After the sanctions are lifted they will restock the ranks quickly.
Also, if Hackenberg lives up to what the analyst see in him and they can keep him clean, he will win games for them.
