Hey, hey, hey ... there is only one me.
That's what I'm saying.
Jandy, is this sarcasm? It's hard to tell on the internet sometimes.
"Huge get. Might have the highest ceiling of 2014 players in this state, along with McDowell and Harris."
He is always serious. This kid must be about to shoot up the rankings. Good eye Jandy.
Yea, I like it for the same reason. It's fun to see a kid go through his SR of HS to the NFL draft.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Something tells me he'll be starting as a FR. They will find a spot for him. He's too good to keep off the field. And there's no point in redshirting him ... he very likely won't be staying four years let alone five.

Yea, that one had me going .
He did just pick up IL and Wisky offers. I bet he gets an 84 rating on 247 or something like that.
Then again, Demetrious Cooper went to one camp, was unranked, got an 88 rating and stayed there; SR year was cut short due to the Chicago teacher's strike and he only played in one game. . Maybe he's the next Adam Brenneman
4 years would shock me. If he commits, I expect a 3 and done with him.
What's wrong with me, look at the expectations I am placing on a kid that has to complete his senior year of high school still.
Woah, slow your roll. Are you suggesting that there is a MSU bump?
I hate the NBA but I am working out of town and watching a game at a sports bar. When did t
Tayshaun Prince get traded to the Grizzlies?
Sokol's highlights weren't bad or anything like that (it looked like he was a decent runner), but I didn't see much too convince me that his ceiling was as high as Harris's and McDowell's. Nothing on Sokol's highlights stuck out to me as much Harris's ball skills, or McDowell's size and athleticism did.
Of course this could all change after a few years in an S&C program and working with MSU's coaches.
You need to watch more college football if you think only 5-6 true freshman nationwide make an immediate major impact.
It probably depends what your definition of "major impact" is. I actually agree with that number since I think a major impact player is someone who is a mismatch against every opponent they play. Not many freshman fit that description imo.
There should be for DB recruits.
I was more talking about where guys get ranked in their first go-around after being a previously un-ranked prospect; i.e., how high can a kid rise after just 1 camp? I'm pretty sure there was a 3-star that jumped to a 5-star last year, but he had been committed for awhile.
I think most un-ranked kids at this point in the year get mid 3-star ratings or lower for their initial evaluation. I know Finely went from unranked to an 84 to a 90, but that's after 2 cycles of evaluation.
I'm basically explaining why I think Sokol ends up in the 84 range when they finally rank him.
I'm talking about absolute studs, like when Adrian Peterson came in and tore up the Big XII as a true FR. Basically a true FR who comes in and leaps to the top of the CFB pack at his position.
I'm open for ya to show otherwise though, because that's been my general impression.
Yea, that's pretty much my take as well. It's doubtful he'll play as a true FR anyways, so it's kinda moot. I am curious to see where he gets rated though.
Troll with the MSU bump or be honest with the kid going from unevaluated to evaluated. What to do, what to do...
Did any of those frosh you listed from
Last year actually have major impact? I'm
Not so sure
Well if your standard is Adrian Peterson I can't show you otherwise. I don't think many people were claiming that Pipkins was going to be Suh. However, as for 2012 true freshman I would consider making a major impact: Duke Johnson, Amari Cooper, Stefon Diggs, Gurley and Marshall, Gray from Texas, Ronald Darby, Shaq Thompson, Leonard Williams, Devonte Fields, Yeldon. Also, I'm sure there were some guys who tore up the weaker conferences.
I was being sarcastic. But in reality, I do think Sokol is very underrated. If you told me, 5 years from now, that he ended up being the 3rd or 4th best player in the state from 2014, I wouldn't be surprised.
laconophilia is everywhere...
Hey, I made a commitment not to troll and I thought you were on board . . .
I didn't go there yet. I just thought it was hilarious that after cope spent a few days making Michigan bump claims based off a kid going from unevaluated to evaluated by these sites, MSU has a kid commit that will have the same thing happen.
Sounds like a solid player who was starting to get his name out there.
It wouldn't surprise me, but I wouldn't put money on it either. The top 3 have the offer list to suggest that they are going to be solid, Harris, McDowell and Webb. We won't see them play in a meaningful college FB for another 16 months at the earliest. Even later before they should be expected to excel at that level.
Sidenote, less than a year from now we should see Harris in Michigan's spring game.
Florida offered Marshall. He has SEC speed now.
I do wonder what would happen if USCw offered him. I don't think it will happen though, I doubt he camps there now to get an offer and USCw is limited in their scholarships.
. There was one out of the six or seven that went from NR to Rated. Others still incurred a ratings/rankings increase shortly after their commit to UM
But feel free to pick and choose points that fit for you
