Missed the game due to the stomach bug that has been going around town. Looks like NW went ice cold with a 6 minute scoreless drought.
Hopefully I didn't speak too soon lol.
I must of been a good luck charm/jinx, the second I started following NW stopped scoring.

Yeah, Michigan didn't play well the 1st half and Hardaway sucked eggs the entire game.
This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
Get it ?
Saw he hit a big shot to tie it up though.
lol Fuck was that Shurna?
Why would someone want to play at NW? His homecourt and he gets the airball chant for that.
Yeah but he missed 5 free throws and was out of sync all game.
Plus that floor is just god aweful
Plus that floor is inside a local high school's gym.
Nice road win for Michigan.
I feel both MSU and Michigan win out, MSU ends up with a 1 seed, Michigan with a 3 seed, outside chance at a 2 seed.
Mizzou lost and so did Georgetown tonight.
That's what she said.
Winning at Indiana is going to be tough and beating OSU is going to be tough.
For sure, but Izzo has these boys in a groove. MSU is a different team since the Carrier Classic.
Just read a couple of good articles today about this team. Drew Sharp wrote a good piece about Izzo and there was a great one in the LSJ. Here's my favorite part from the Drew Sharp column:
"Izzo loves guys who are as combative as he is. It's why, as much as he cherishes all the Final Fours, he equally enjoys the memories of freshman Antonio Smith throwing a disinterested senior teammate into a locker following a road loss in 1996 or Mateen Cleaves threatening Morris Peterson with dismemberment during halftime of the Spartans' 2000 regional semifinal against Syracuse if Mo Pete didn't get his head and heart into the game."
I agree I think Izzo has this team banging on all cylinders. I think knowing Michigan is right behind us gives the team extra motivation and an excellent shot at winning out.
Proving skeptics wrong never was the finish line for Michigan State coach Tom Izzo and his chief surrogate, Draymond Green. Green succinctly framed it for me following the Spartans' victory over Wisconsin last week:
This. I came into the season expecting a similar one to last year. They way the team played in the carrier classic and then against Duke showed the potential they have. After that they have improved every game aside from the mid-conference schedule slump. I see no reason this team doesn't win out and even improve a little more with Trice returning and hopefully Appling and Wood regaining their jumper.
Also, Green said in this LSJ article today that this team is better than the 2009 team that made it to the finals. I don't really think Green is the type of guy to go out and hype and pump either.
". Draymond Green knows two things right now – this team would beat his freshman team of 2008-09 that got all the way to the NCAA title game in Detroit. And if senior Green tangled with freshman Green?
“I’d kill that ’09 guy,” he said.
So what would happen if the teams played?
“We win. Yeah. We win.”
Have you thought about the matchups?
“What is there to think about?”
Why is this team better?
“We have a better coach.”
(Insert laughter from reporters here).
“I just feel this team would pull it out,” said Green, who by the way was just named USBWA national player of the week. “I’m not saying we’re necessarily better. But we’d pull it out. The teams are kind of similar if you actually break it down and look at it.”
Is defense the difference?
“Our defense is better. Team defense. We definitely had Travis (Walton), who was that lockdown defender. But I think overall our defense is better.”"
I have a feeling we may be doing a lot of team comparing in the next few weeks. We already got at Tom Izzo for...
Congrats to UM. First 4 game winning streak in conference in 6 years.
I hope we get to see MSU vs UM 2 more times this year.
Buford played well tonight, which is something we don't need.
I just want to meet in the B1G tournament...after that the love fest is over, I just want to cut down the net and hoist a banner. If they're in the way then so be it.
The earliest we could prob hope to see them in the tourney would be the E8 and we all know they won't get that far. Beating them in Indy would suffice.
Hopefully not. It's bad for college basketball to have a good Michigan team. The biggest, lying, cheating, and all around despicable program in all of college basketball. Should get the death penalty.
