First, no one thought our OL was good 2 years ago, so no one thought theyd be ok this year. They have sucked for 6 years, and that hasnt changed, They will most likely suck next year too, as the talent is lacking.
However, VT fans expecting to win the ACC is a lot different than UVA fans expecting to make a run. VT has won the ACC outright 45% of the years they have been in the ACC. UVA has won it outright 0%, and shared a title in 3% of the years they have been in it.
so you say "no one." i goess you're speaking for the university as a whole?
"Just gotta keep balling out"
Im speaking for realistic VT fans. Please show me where someone said our OL would be good?
pardon us for preseason expectations of winning the ACC and having 10 wins. Do it enough times and you get to expect it. Don't know that anyone really believed we would play for a natty this year. I am optimistic that we will get back to winning next year as the offense cannot possibly be any worse than it has been with the Offensive coaches we have had for the last 8 years. Don't you all have some rinky dink sport no one cares about to cheer for?
The only reason "you" don't care about those sports is because as a tech fan you have nothing to cheer for once football season is over. And you are not even elite in football. Sports for you guys is over now. 1--27... soon to be 1-28...
You are correct, but two things VT wasn't in the ACC then and Shawn Moore had broken his thumb the week before against Maryland and didn't even play against VT.
WAHOO 4 LIFE!!
LOL, I've seen the You Tube of that. Funny as shit!! I ain't got time fo dat!
I will repeat... when was the last time tech beat Miami and FSU in their backyards in the same season? It is a very simple question that does not require a great deal of research....
And what other coach in college football has ever accomplished that? Only Mike London. Don't worry your time to flatter yourselves will also soon come to an end.
I will go on record by saying that your streak ends next year in Hooville. It is high time that you be taken to the woodshed and have the ass whooping administered to you that you have earned. It will not be a pretty sight fellas.

Bragging about beating a .500 team...I love it.

Annnnnnnnnnnd you're officially an idiot
We may very well suffer an ass whoopin' next year but it won't be in Charlottesville. You guys could have NFL players on your roster and London would find a way to eff it up. Face it, London will end up flip floppin' QB's (between Sims and Lambert) so by the time our game comes around, it'll be more of the same. And by the looks of your DC search, with Tenuta at the helm, we could let Stiney call the plays and still curb stomp your boys.
You must be looking in the mirror at your own reflection. While your at it, brush that tooth of yours.....
After watching the debacle your offense displayed against Rutgers I doubt you will be curb stomping anyone. The only thing you will be stomping is the donkey dung in your own back yard.
Va tech football is in decline. Your coaching staff is
Old and in decline. Your fans are in decline. Your attendance for bowl games is in decline. Your recruiting as a whole over the last six years is in decline. Your dominance of the tidewater is in decline. It is so bad that hokie nation (whatever that is) wants to can the entire coaching staff, which means your excitement level is in decline. Decline is the key word here. Meanwhile UVA is now the preferred destination for much of the state's top talent. LOL I can't wait to hear the responses to this post. Hokies are seeing red and pulling their tooth out.

That's right, that's right....uva's on the "rise" and we're on the decline....haha. Beamer's rebuilding our offensive staff which, by far, is the weakest part of our team while London fires his DC whose defense ranked 37th in the country. The fact he fired Reid and kept Poindexter is mind boggling. London's a very good recruiter but the honeymoon is over.....the "new car smell" is fading and it's coming down to London's ability to coach which, as everyone knows, is very poor. Keep it comin' raleigh with the "we'll beat VT's ass NEXT YEAR...."
London is not far removed from being named ACC coach of the year. Now the "new car smell" will only wear off once it has been driven for a while. This car still has very low milage. London's recruits were young kids this year. The results of his recruiting have yet to be fully realized. It will make no difference what Beamer does with his staff. The tide has now turned and ass whoopings are in order.... stand in line Hokies and take it like men.
Never go full Arden.
THE ONLY THING I'M ADDICTED TO IS WINNING--CHARLIE SHEEN
By the way.. when posting on this board I have 2 rules I keep. 1) I never resort to name calling such as idiot, or retard. 2) I never downvote any hokie fan that post here. I will debate and stand my ground but any downvote you may have received on this thread has not come from me. I have also received hardly no downvotes from hokie posters here which is classy.
Now back to next years hokie ass whooping....
Okay, stay with me here....click the link and count the number of VT commits vs uva commits. Count them up and tell me the results. You may have to take off one shoe to count the VT commits. What you'll find is that your statement about uva "being the preferred destination" is false.
As far as bowl attendance, ours may have gone down but uva's bowl attendance stayed the same this year...zero.
Dominance in the Tidewater area? Okay, again, count the number of players in the Top 50 from Tidewater...see who has more commits. Yet another claim that's false.
Can the whole staff? C'mon man....this kind of statement is just plain ignorant on your part.
raleigh, my suggestion is you stop while you're behind. London went backwards this year and you know it. He hasn't a clue how to run a D-1 program. Maybe you can use actual facts next time around.
The 247Sports rankings are determined by our recruiting analysts after countless hours of personal observations, film evaluation and input from our network of scouts. Players are ranked by position, grouped qualitatively with a star ranking and given a numerical ranking based on their future potential.
I stand by my comments MM. I see a turning of the tide in recruiting. 2014 recruiting will be key to rather I am right or wrong. If things go well this could be a great recruiting class and UVA'S best ever. Combined with currently maturing young players and 2013 recruiting results I see a defining change coming to UVA'S football program. If London can't coach that group to compete then he will go. But, we are not close to that point.
As far as London going backwards. Most UVA fans expected a step back this year. I did not expect a bowl type team. Any large scale senior leadership graduated the year before and even that was limited due to poor recruiting and player retention during the latter part of Grohs tenure. London showed that with upper class leadership that he could produce (ACC coach of the year, Peach Bowl). Talent is streaming in and it will provide experience and leadership in time. When that happens the "ass whoopings will commence".
Lastly MM. The fact is, your fan base has been, and is, tired of your good ole boy coaching staff. Look at
Your own board, many want Beamer gone, which means your entire coaching staff would be canned for the most part. I did not have to say it. Hokies are saying it loud and clear.
