what was his major? engineering? because if it were for general emission and not for a program you must apply for someone didn't send in his transcripts or something
"Just gotta keep balling out"
a lot depends on the rigor of the coursework - taking more APs than your classmates and such
No flame: How is London not on a hot seat? He is averaging 5 wins a season. He was just forced to fire half of his staff, the OC quit, and he is looking at likely not winning 6 again this year. If he isn't on a hot seat you all need to reevaluate your programs goals. Isn't a 5 win average the worst coach at UVA in over 30 years? Not a flame, you all should be better than London.
Even with a recruiting average right at 25th nationally, he still has to be a top 25 coach to have you ranked there...and he hasn't shown that he can do that...Not even close
Oh its so sad people are "pushing" him to a school where all his friends are, a school that is not only tops in the ACC but tops in the nation academically. A school where Quin will still be able to succeed and play in the NFL. A school where his friends and family will be able to see him on a regular basis. A school where he has a powerful relationship with the staff. Maybe he won't win championships or even beat FSU, but those are all pretty powerful and significant reasons to choose a school to spend the next 3-4 years of your life at.. To say that Blanding was pushed to a school with so many legit factors behind it is really stupid and simplistic, but I expect as much from one of the most delusional and ignorant fan bases in the NCAA. Blanding is going to succeed no matter where he goes, so I think its the other reasons that should/do matter in his decision process.
It's honestly hard to argue any of that (except the delusional fan base part; I'm going to leave that alone). Well put.
I get where you are coming from. With money we are shelling out in coaches I for one expect to see improvement next season. Do I think London will be fired if there is none? No but I expect the seat gets pretty hot in 2014 and with out significant improvement then we are probably looking at a new coach. If people are not expecting some sort of improvement next season after the money being spent then they are crazy. I not talking about just wins and loses but overall improvement.

I cant be the only one who finds it hilarious that uva fans are calling him "Pretty Ricky" like you know the kid. You guys sound ridiculous.
and now we know you definitely don't go to UVA....
It's admission, not emission.
aint nothing wrong with general emissions
guess you've never heard of a typo and autocorrect

You are arguing just to be a dick....
You have to admit that autocorrect is hilarious sometimes. You type away on your phone and hit send only to go "damn it!!" once you read what you sent.
No shit they have been UVs, the kid isnt allowed to take OVs until September. Groundbreaking news there. You and "pretty" must be tight hahah

too true.... we all work in emissions sometimes i guess.
I've met him I call him Pretty but not Pretty Ricky I don't know where that came from.
WAHOO 4 LIFE!!
I know his father what about it? Punk!!
Yup, and that season had VT fans enraged. The gap in expectations is enormous for these programs. Can you imagine if we were coming off of two 4-8 seasons in the past 3 years?
Why isn't London on the hot seat? From Wikipedia:
Virginia Tech Hokies (NCAA Division I-A Independent) (1987–1990)
1987 Virginia Tech 2–9
1988 Virginia Tech 3–8
1989 Virginia Tech 6–4–1
1990 Virginia Tech 6–5 25
Virginia Tech Hokies (Big East Conference) (1991–2003)
1991 Virginia Tech 5–6 1–0 ‡
1992 Virginia Tech 2–8–1 1–4 ‡
Building a program from the ground up doesn't happen overnight. It requires patience. I'm willing to be patient with Coach London, and I think much of the fan base is as well. I didn't approve of shuffling the staff (for the most part) after this season because I thought they needed more time. I do think we ended up upgrading, though only time will tell on that front.
Punk? Are you going to try to fight me over the internet again? The 2 exclamation points really show how serious youre. You must make your kids proud.
Get used to it cause it will be another 7 win season again next year.
We don't need to do it over the internet, I've told you time and time again I'm game.
I'll tell you what if you would have talked about my kids the way you've talked about those 757 kids your ass would have gotten whipped a long time ago. Kudo's for some of the one's down there that haven't came and looked you up.

Yall really do need to find something else to compare it to. That was 25 years ago, if you havent noticed, college football, life, the world, the economy, none of it is the same as 25 years ago.
Also did you see that word, independent? Frank took over the shell of a program with no direction or backing and a 20k seat stadium, and 5 previous bowl appearances.. London took over a 60 year ACC member, with endless financial backing, and a 60k seat stadium, and 17 previous bowl appearances.
What each coach took over couldnt be more opposite, however id love for yall to keep London for 6-8 years, he is nothing but a help to VT on the field.
Yall would be given London a lifetime contract and an extension if he had 14 wins in 2 years.
