Possibly, but, VT is definitely in last place.
Yes, VT is in last place, they are going to go as far in the NCAA tournament as UVA.
THE ONLY THING I'M ADDICTED TO IS WINNING--CHARLIE SHEEN
That is where you are wrong dumbass. VT will be watching basketball on the TV starting at 4:30 March 14. UVA at least chance to make the NCAA tournament. Give it a rest. Vt fans know as much about college basketball as they do college baseball.........nothing at all.
Listen, I don't mean to intrude on your lunch break at Wendy's, but all the projections have you out of the tournament at this point, a strong run in the ACC tourney could change that but as of today you'll be sitting on your moms sofa watching the 1st round of the NCAA tourney..
Funny I just watched ESPN and Lunardi has UVA in.
Keep dreaming Alice.
Mikey you are 1 funny wahoo. Not the most intelligent, but def a laugh for sure.
Never saw that coming. The Hokie nation is devastated we didn't close out with the next to last title. Lulz.
Yeah the one guy at the end of the game that shouldn't have the ball has it. Story of our year. Great win followed by a bad loss. Right back on the bubble again. SMH.
WAHOO 4 LIFE!!
Could be worse. Our story is bad loss, followed by bad loss, followed by worse loss.
Well, maybe you can tell us how to handle that since your football team is always in last place.
That's okay, at least now we can say our basketball team is "on the rise".
UF whips FSU on a regular basis ? interesting
Did you know FSU is 15-12-1 against UF since 1987 ? Sounds like a pretty heated rivalry to me, and the only reason UF has that many wins is because Bowden killed FSU from 2001 on...... and in that time frame both schools have played for 9 national titles in a 23 year span ( 4 for FSU and 5 for UF ).... They both won 5 with UF winning 3 and FSU 2.... its almost dead even in every relative category in recent history
Also they certainly consider FSU their top rival, and any Gator that says otherwise is a total moron who isn't worth listening too in the first place
We battle in recruiting as fiercely as anybody in america in terms of rivals and fight over multiple 5 stars and a host of 4 stars each and every cycle
You are easily one of the dumbest posters I have come across, and I will continue to dig into your butt cheeks as you consider to post retarded garbage like this and every post you have made before it
Still laughing at UF, who whoops FSU's ass on a regular basis when FSU has clearly been the better team for the last 25 years despite UF having the one more title.... their 96' title was bullshit imo for FSU should have never had to play them again after beating them in the final game of the season that year

fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
One word : Bobby Bowden
You think Beamer is getting over the hill, just sit tight cause it can go from bad to worse in the blink of an eye... just ask any FSU or PSU fan, old coaches are not cool and Im in favor of the NCAA creating an age limit for Head Coaches
Nobody outside of FSU understands how bad things got under Bowden in the end, and UF capitalized on it in the early to mid 2000's
Had Bobby B left in 2002 lets say, then FSU is likely owning the series even more than they have since the mid to late 80's which was imo the actual birth of FSU as a super power in college football
Now I realize FSU doesn't become a super power without Bowden, but the Bowden that coached them to these heights wasn't the same man who was patrolling the sidelines from 2001 on.... It just wasn't the same dude, and is why most of us die hard FSU fans hated him at that point and wanted his ass gone sooner than later
Lets also breakdown this epic failure in detail
1- Who is they ? I realize you mean the Gators, but who exactly ? one random UF fan you met one time ? or was it a poll you found somewhere online ?
2- Since " they " don't consider FSU their top rival, who is UF's top rival I ask you ?
Lets look at the candidates
1- Tennessee - UF is 16-4 against Tennessee since 1993 ( UF has 3 national titles with Tenn having 1 )
2- Georgia - UF is 18-5 against UGA since 1990 ( UF has 3 national titles with UGA having 0 )
3- FSU - FSU is 12-12-1 against UF since 1990 ( FSU has 2 national titles with UF having 3 ) and both schools tied in this time frame with 2 Heisman Trophies each.... even though had Pete Warrick not been arrested FSU would certainly have 3
I would love for you to explain how FSU isn't their most heated and competitive rival in recent history ( last 20 years or so ) given these facts you obviously didn't care to look up before posting... but at least now you can have a re-do since you aren't incredibly misinformed as before
Lot of talk last season that Beamer may have reached that point, and lot of concern going foward. Not too many felt like he had it in him to clean house on the offensive coaching side and bring in a bunch of new blood. No idea how those guys work out going forward, but really surpised that Beamer made the move he did, and fans are damn excited about it.
Be nice to see Beamer turn over special teams coaching to someone else. Been pretty bad the last couple years.
Why don't you start a Rivalry Thread with Florida. Keep out of ours. You want me to create for you and then throw you under the bus to get it started.
We have plenty of them
If you created it, then it wouldn't last past this evening on the first page so there would be no point
Nobody knows who you are around here except a few that know how retarded you are

Pretty much agree with everything in your post. On the special teams side, I do think Hughes at least made things better. It's funny how commentators always talk about Beamerball like it's relevant these days. I can live with not blocking punts as often.....it was the big returns on kickoffs, short kickoffs and overall lack of detail on special teams. As a fan, we went from "maybe we can block a kick this game" to "I really hope we can get this punt off without it being blocked." It still bothers me that Beamer even gave Coale the option of faking the punt in the Sugar Bowl game given that our defense was shutting Michigan down in the second half.
jmo but this past season was the first where a few announcers were really harping on the fact Beamer Ball isn't what it used to be
I watch most of VT games and noticed it this year
But yes normally I would have agreed with you
Very true. Dumbass announcers hype Beamerball. Those that are worth a damn point out that it sucks donkey balls. Now, that being said, we have a very solid punter, excellent kicker, Both punt returner and kickoff returner are back, and both did very well last year.
Those areas are solid, much concern in all the other aspects of special teams. I'm sure over the past 2 -3 years we have more roughing the kicker penalities than blocks.
