Fair enough, agree to disagree. I know several Hokies who have also disagreed with you.
I'm sure Todd and Buffie will ask Jeeves to bring an extra pair in case they spill some wine or crumble some brie.
I'm sure it will be jolly fun. Jolly.
Yes, I do too, and they drive me nuts. Those are the "Chicken Littles" I mentioned, lol.
I'm counting a kid that committed to our staff yesterday, and will go public Thursday. I am not counting Minor, though we will land him.
You're honestly stupid if you believe this, no offense though.
You've obviously never been to Foxfield. It's like the tailgating at NASCAR except with sundresses instead of jean shorts.
They are stupid...and for the most part very uneducated about football. Truth is the defense jumped two routes yesterday....because we've only put in 25% of our O. They've seen the same routes time and time again. Also, I've learned that he was NOT allowed to check out of plays at the LOS. In other words, he had to run what was called....right into blitzes. I was more encouraged that he was 16-29 throwing the ball. That lends to much better accuracy than last year....as has been reported all Spring long. Plus Loeffler has months (plural) to continue mechanical work before August.
The same folks that get worked up about a Spring performance are the same folks that saw Clemson put up less than 200 yards of O total (yes, that's between TWO teams) in their Spring game two years ago, claimed Chad Morris was an idiot and Clemson would blow, only to see them to be top 10 nationally in offense and win the ACC when the lights came on.
Why? Just like VT, Clemson had installed less than 30% of the O during the Spring and were very vanilla in the Spring Game.
VT is going to be an 8-10 win team this year and will beat UVA for the 10th straight time. FACTS. Glad this gives you Hoo(ver)s reading this some hope. As is typical of this time of year, we've stolen your recruiting mo following our Spring game and, thus, it ends your "football" season. All down hill from here...typically. But now you've got a poor Spring Game performance to hang on to. My warning to you is--just remember: Come September, the lights come on.
I'm sure the chicks are hot. Just not sure I could get past Todd and his plad shorts and bow tie. Also, I like a nice glass of wine with a steak and, even, some bleu cheese on top of it....but I prefer beer and ribs and my tailgate.
Right now, i'd rather they go to UVA and UNC. Eventually they'll go to UNC, but for the meantime they're no real threat going to UVA.
Its like NASCAR in that its drinking out of the back of pick up trucks and huge tents. But the people attending look nothing like the NASCAR crowd.
Fwiw on the pics, Josh even admitted 2 were the WRs fault. One of them was on 4th and 8, when we would never go for it, a pic nonetheless. Stanford said Greene knew the route and sat on it, and Stanford didn't adjust like he should an was at the wrong depth.
One pic he simple flew the WR. I'm not concerned yet, we also played musical chairs on the OL, some had to switch jerseys a bunch to play on different teams and try out different units.
But you and every other Tech fan came on here and talked about how bad UVA looked during their spring game. Funny how that works.
Having a giggle mate?
When did you steal my avatar?
Or are you aware?
Just my thoughts and we can agree to disagree. What is Tyrod Taylor doing these days? IMHO Logan will make a better TE/WR then QB. I take offense to be called stupid by a person with a 5th grade education. LOL
The difference is UVA is and has been horrible at Football, VT has been a consistent winner or the last 18 years.
Your recruits were just being born when we last ha a losing season. Our recruits were watching VT win a bowl game when you last had a losing season.
I would argue that our success recruiting has helped VT in that they have stepped up their game. Caught flat footed in 2011, but has been very strong since..and definitely both of us have kept unc at bay
He just finished only his second year in the league and was a Super Bowl champion backing up the MVP. Not too shabby for 2 years into the league. Most QB's don't come in and start in the NFL
Tyrod Taylor is a well-praised #2 QB with a Super Bowl ring.
You didn't originally say Logan could be better at TE; we might even agree there. What you said was that he HAD to move there to play in the NFL, and that he would go undrafted. Both of those are false.
Tyrod just won a Super Bowl ring, what's that have to do with Logan? Logan is 6" and 60lbs bigger than Tyrod. Why didn't you ask what Michael Vick was doing, has the sane relevance. Continue to show your stupidity however.
"Just gotta keep balling out"
My question about TT was in sincerity. You act so childish. Like I said, Logan will be a better TE in the nfl. Some team may take a chance and hope that they get a Cam Newton but I doubt that happens. Your lack of conversational skills is really showing.
Damn Obama, spinning it I see. What was said is VT did not look to good in their spring game. Response not even Alabama looks good in theirs. So your argument last 18 years, consistent winning, recruits age and last years bowl win after the stellar 6 win season? Tell me how any of those points come close to being relevant to a question about a spring game?
Agree. So our D is dominant or our O sucks....if our O was good our D would be overrated. I wish we were better on O but I'd rather have it as it was
Yeah it's a scrimmage in the spring. I don't see any reason for anybody to pound their chest over it no matter what team you pull for. No team is going to show too much of their offense anyway. They keep it pretty stripped down. Not to mention its two hand touch on the QB.
I will add my two cents on LT in the NFL call me crazy but when I think of LT I think TE and I'm talking Tony Gonzalez like TE, it may take him a while as he hasn't played the position in college but would be tough as hell to defend by a LB or a Safety.
