Agree. That D is stacked.
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
Jesus. Lawson certainly appears to be physically ready.
Lawson looks impressive, Adams not so much, Adams is raw could probably use a redshirt season but not sure if Auburn has the depth to be able to redshirt him, Lawson will make an impact from game 1 if he stays healthy!
Yes he does. The other guy looks like a small RB. No way that guy is playing DT for Ellis Johnson this year.
Expect to see one to two all-Americans on it this year.
I expect them all to be All Americans under this man's tutelage.
Carl has a dick like a midget's arm
Doubt there is gonna be much redshirting going on at Aub this season, especially on defense.
We've got a lot of depth at DT, if by "depth" you mean warm bodies. Carter, Whitaker, Wright, Blackson, and the JUCO guy Bradley at DT, are all upperclassmen. Every single one of those guys was rated a four star when we signed them. We don't know what Bradley can do. Blackson has been decent. The other three haven't done shit. I'm hoping they finally figure it out this year.
What's Auburn's strong point on defense? I'd say the DL, but I haven't seen much of the secondary.
you missed a part
Dive for the thrill, shoot for the kill.
Ummmmmm..........Yeah I guess the D-line. Nothing looked good last year, but I guess the D-line has the potential to be the most improved. If they play well this year, it'll make our secondary and linebackers look better too. They were awful last year as well, but it's hard to look good when the D-line is getting shoved four yards past the line on run plays, and can't get within four yards of the QB on pass plays. Honestly, if Ellis can just get these guys to wrap the ball carrier up and tackle him, it'll be the best defense Auburn has had since 2007.
I don't think you really believe that.
I keep saying it, but Ellis will do work this year and you will have a solid D. I give almost as much credit to EJ for turning our program around as I do Spurrier.
Really hope you're right.
It's easier to believe that than to believe he's the next Clowney. No?
I actually hope I am wrong, but I love some EJ.
Nah, dude will chit on clowney by the time he's done... He'll probably win the heisman as a primary D player and true frosh this year IMNSHO
Well just look at it this way, there is no way your defense can get any worse unless they stop moving completely :) they should have a solid season this year. Could be a top 50 defense if Ellis Johnson is as good as most think he is.
A top 50 defense with us running the HUNH would be pretty good.
You could say that about every single defensive lineman not named Clowney.
Exactly. Which is why I would t put this much praise on anyone that's a true freshman.
All I said was that the kid appears physically ready to play.
