I guess you can call me the same then.
I'm not saying that the Wire sucked at all, but it's not the best show to ever exist on television like a lot of people try to make it out to be.
Again, that is just my opinion.
Can't be life...
The world would suck if everyone liked the same things and no one disagreed with each other sometimes.
Good on you for not liking something because the general consensus is that you should.
With all that said...are you fvcking crazy?
Deserve got nothing to do with it...
I'd like to know some major differences between The Wire and an episode if Law and Order, Criminal Minds, or CSI besides the fact that it's on HBO so more sex and the while focus on drugs.
Gangsters/Mobsters? Give me Sopranos for $100 please.

No I just like good acting and something above 5th grade level story lines. That show is terrible I honestly do not understand why it's gotten the reputation it has
Have you ever watched Sons of Anarchy or Sopranos?
Sons of anarchy looks terrible. I hate biker dudes as it is. I dont want to watch a show about them. I'm gonna take a wild guess as to how that show goes you tell me of I'm right: vrooom! vroom! Look at us! We are badasses vroom vroom! I'm a badass. Nuh uh I'm a bigger badass. Conflict. I'll never live up to my fathers, dead sybilings, best friends legacy.vroom vroom
I was thinking along those lines.

That's what I thought as well, it's one of the best shows I've ever seen it's on Netflix i suggest you watch; The Sopranos is another epic show give that a look as well..
Season 2 is still awesome television
Ziggy was annoying but I liked the story of him, not every character can be Marlo nor should they be
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Agreed. While it is the slowest I really love the interconnectivity of it all.
I appreciate that not everyone will love it, but Season Two sets the stage for Seasons 3-5. Without it you never get Marlo, Snoop, and Bunny.

I agree with Sons of Anarchy. While I don't think it is that deep of a show, it is very clever and Charlie Hunnam is brilliant.
Also people don't recognize him from Green Street Hooligans sometimes. I think it's awesome how well he masks his British accent.
5th grade or Harvard level. One of the two
In our course on urban inequality at Harvard this semester, we want our students to understand the roots of the social conditions in America's inner cities. To that end, we get some help from Bodie, Stringer Bell, Bubbles and others from HBO's
I'm aware they teach classes on it. That's one of the reasons I was excited about watching it. I was like this has got to be some good stuff. Let me be serious for a second and not argumentative/troll post. Its just awful. Nothing happens and the acting is beyond terrible.the white guy that get demoted to the docks think he's the main one he's just awful. Mc something was his name. It's just nothing ever happens. It's boring
Get HBOGO you poor. It's called building. When all this shit comes together you'll like it. IMHO it's not the goat but if you don't watch it you're retarded
Now that just doesn't seen like a fair accusation...
I think you need to temper your expectations. This show is not going to have plot twists or keep you guessing. Sadly, you're going to know what happens to each character but that's what makes it so great. You look back on a season and you knew that they were going to get to this point, but you didn't know how they were going to get there. It's about as real you can get in a show. It's great at showing character progression and how everyone evolves in a city where nothing really changes in terms of the drug culture. It is my favorite show because it captures how communities are immersed in the drug trade by portraying the distributors, manufacturers, customers, the enforcers, and everyone else associated. You would probably love Season 3 because it has the most drama, but to me Seasons 1, 2, and 4 were my favorite seasons because it touched on key aspects that show how and why Baltimore has become notorious for its drug distribution.
I will respond to this heresy at length later
But I have seen you complain twice in this thread about how they were redundant in Season Two because they had do more wiretaps

Why the hell would you buy a series before even watching it? And you didn't just buy the first, but the second too.
