Went home for lunch and saw this bad boy on the air conditioning unit outside. Looks like a wolf spider to me but it measured out at 11.5 inches in length. Needless to say, it took a 3-wood to the face.

Diablo. Thats a huge wolf spider.
Would have passed out...
University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
I have never seen a spider this large, especially a wolf spider. I wanted to trap it but when I was measuring it, it jumped onto the back deck. I nearly crapped my pants.
Hate spiders. Woke up with a camel spider gripping my nose in the middle of the night in Iraq. This thing was a monster. Wasnt 11" but i would say it was about 7".
Gripping your nose? That s**t is insane. I have a few friends that were over in Iraq and some of the stories they have told me about those camel spiders are ridiculous. What did you do with it?
I just had to change my drawers reading that. Good Lawd!
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Did you eat it then go back to sleep?
If there was a spider exhibit at the zoo, I wouldn't go.
wolf spiders do not get that big. no way it was 11.5 inches

Spiders are crazy scary, especially when they are this large.
Would not have hesitated or even taken a picture. Smash!

Want my soul to feel brand new like a fresh coat of paint, we can make it anything but blue anything but blue
That is what I thought. Looks like one but I swear it measured at 11.5 inches. That measurement is from the end of the front legs to the end of the rear, not just the body.
Holy hell... I crapped my pants just looking at the picture.
Huddles are for rookies.
Spiders and snakes, no thanks!! I'm a big ol baby when it comes to those and insects crawling on me.
not to doubt you, but wolf spiders dont get any bigger than maybe 2 or 3 inches
is that an air conditioner like is at a hotel?

Time and change will surely (truly) show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!
Simply kill it. Spiders aren't nearly as dangerous as they're made out to be. Never run across one that posed a legit threat. When a shoe or a spray of cleaner is their kryptonite, they aren't a major predator.
I'd much rather deal with a spider than a yellow jacket.
Pics or it didn't happen
+1 things i can kill easily don't really scare me
That big ass thing would scare me for a second, then i would grab my glock and empty a clip and move on
Spiders and snakes..I'll pick them right up. Needles..I dont fvck with.
I would have called this guy
AWE HELL NAW. I would have freaked.
