@slmandel: Notre Dame finished the season beating nine bowl-eligible teams. By comparison, Alabama: five. Georgia: four.
3 time POTW, member since 2006, MLWTI: 4-3
Go ahead and crown ND IMO
Steve Spurrier is a God, and Mark Richt worships him
Alabama 1-1 in top 25 teams. See what happens when your to scared to schedule the big boys in the SEC east. Don't worry through next year they scheduled Tennessee and Kentucky pussies
I'm not saying that
And we had the toughest schedule in the Nation, sucks we wont get our shot
Alabama definitely controls who they schedule from the East so point well made.
Notre Dame beat a lot of Big East, ACC, and Big 10 teams. A lot of those teams wouldnt be eligible for bowls if they played in the SEC
"Bowl-eligible"-- what the heck does that even mean when there are like 35 bowl games now and so 70 (out of 120?) teams end up going to a bowl game.
You think if someone beats a slate of Cinci, Baylor, Iowa State, East Carolina, Southern Methodist, Central Michigan and Air Force, that they proved anything? Because those are some of the teams that are bowl eligible this season...
Look at something like Sagarin's Strength of Schedule... ND and Bama are fairly close, actually (ND has a bit stronger scheduler, on paper).

Thanks for the props.
Still beat LSWHO in their house. Guess we should drop LSU for a team that can compete with us right.
I will be rooting for Notre Dame to win, but it is just a fact that the SEC is better than the conferences I mentioned. That was made crystal clear after yesterday
Very top heavy iyam
They each beat 3 teams with 8 or more wins. I don't care how many 6-6 tams someone has beaten.
A person could argue 6 SEC teams are better than any team in the Big 10, ACC, or Big East
Are you that stupid? Every team in the SEC west plays every team in the east on a rotating basis. It's not Bamas fault that Tennessee is a pile of shit. Your ignorance is funny to watch... Your words mean nothing on this board scoot... Be beat you, face it, you suck, LSU sucks, les miles sucks and your theory about sec schedules sucks..
Enjoy watching Alabama represent the west in the national championship, perhaps you can go smoke a dube with tyran and watch the game together...
Haha. Uckfe LSU, your pathetic
It's an accurate stat. But really, Navy, Miami, Purdue, and Michigan State? Tennessee (1-7 in the SEC) probably sweeps those teams.
Stanford and OU are great wins though. Congrats on your season.
That statistic would not make me feel any better as a ND fan about to play the SEC Champ. Here is a stat for you...ND has played two teams in Top 50 Offense. Oh, but the defense is so great. Theo for Heisman!
We'll see how much those schedules mean come Jan 7. Bama or UGA rolls ND. Speed and physicality up front.
Yeah, the SEC is full of great teams like Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee and Missouri
ND hasn't beaten anybody worth a crap. Georgia or Bama would destroy ND' get real
ND is as physical if not more than either of those southern teams. They may be faster, but ND would get the edge in intelligence.
Who has Bama beaten worth a crap other than LSU? They've played 3 decent teams and were outplayed in two of those games.
UGA got rolled by a mediocre SC team.
The only decent win ND had was Stanford. Playing middle of the road programs (Purdue, 20-17) in sub par conferences, is not impressive.
