Not without saban? haha miles led the 07 team to a NC . Dumbass smelly redneck
Then he's perfect for you. Still think he's 4 best prospect in LA for 2013 class.
Saban's process was still in effect foo. Lulz at you calling me a redneck. You probably eat alligator shit for breakfast. I'm not even from Alabama, and redneck insults coming from a redneck make you look even more stupid which is almost impossible to do.
SO your'e not from alabama? Did you even attend UA? Sidewalk alert! Learn to spell also. Dipshit
Without self-knowledge there is no individuality
Nope I didn't. I'm actually going to school in Texas right now. My whole dad's side of the family all attended Alabama, so I was born and raised an Alabama fan. You seem to be getting pretty upset though. Maybe you should go relax before an artery clogs.
Do you have to attend the school you like to be fan?
Can we go ahead and ban the Purp guy?
That said, do any sane LSU fans (not the Purp guy) want to give us a rundown on Williams? I hadn't heard anything about him until just now. Anytime the home state claims that they "backed off", I tend not to believe it... but I'll listen to what ya got. TIA
Shiiite we own Louisiana son!
We backed off. Plain and Simple. His offer was not committable anymore and there was a strong rumor recently that he called to commit and the coaches told him that he had to wait to see how the rest of who we wanted would fall. He is the 3rd/4th best player in state in this year. You will see for yourself when the new rankings come out. Personally I love the kid and see his tremendous upside. The problem is he doesn't show up 75% of the time. He is the literal definition of a kid that doesn't seem like he loves football but is good at it. He is good but when you watch his film it is 1 great play 10 plays you do not see him. Personally I think he should be in the 150-250 range when it comes to his ranking. Still wish he was in our class. I love keeping La kids home.
There are also rumors of off the field problems but I do not buy those. He has a daughter and all along stated that he wanted to leave the state. It was just recently that his tone started to change about staying home when the moving away started to become a reality.

Tim is a kid with very good upside and talent and for most schools is a take on the face but when a deeper look is taken there are some reservations
He takes a lot of plays off. That's not just LSU fans being childish, many people who have seen him play this year all say it. We're not talking a 1 game lazy streak either. Multiple games.
LSU backed off for supposed academic and off field issues along with the takes plays off reason. Communication didn't cut off as rumored but he was not being pressed like he was before. Basically told he was down the list of takable guys, meaning if we have a spot, we'll take you. The talk of him trying to commit to LSU has some legs. Go look at articles written with quotes from Williams just in the last week. He was talking highly of LSU just last week but now LSU isn't even in the discussion. Read between the lines
Anyone who tells you this kid is 230 hasn't seen him. 210-215 at best and doesn't have the frame to carry much more than 230. The comparison to Mingo is obvious but he's nowhere near the athlete or as fast as Mingo. Different level of prospect.
I think he could be a very good Jack or Sam at Bama if the staff can get him to work as hard as he needs to. If not then he'll join the long line of "processed" kids at Bama(just a joke as I have no issue with how Bama or any school goes about trimming their roster) Just make no mistake, Williams is an extremely high risk/high reward type prospect. Bama is in great enough shape that they can afford to take risks on talented kids like Williams.LSU fans shouldn't be upset about him liking Bama. Our staff doesn't want him and specifically have said that if he weren't from LA that he wouldn't even be on the board.
This & BornNRaised' last post are the only sane ones ITT. Thanks for the rundown on Williams, guys. By all means though everyone else continue the sidewalk alumni convo...it's tantalizing (just for the record though I graduated from Bama in '10).

telling myself it's not as hard as it seems - Led Zeppelin
+1, thanks. I'm not going to worry about the off the field stuff. Saban has a good record w/ those types... they'll either make it or get kicked off the team and most buy in by the end of their freshman year.
How one day makes such a big difference
Seriously scoot...I mad, he's only the number three recruit in La lol
...that LSU stopped recruiting lol
"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in life." - Former LSU Coach and AD Paul Dietzel
Thanks, will take more...
Another intriguing tidbit to the story is he goes to the same high school that Coach Les Miles and 3 other coaches have kids at and they all played on the football team this year. Something was def weird about the entire situation.
What exactly is the flaw nobody wants to speak on. I'm getting spooked, he some kind of perv or something? lol

Hope Bama dosen't get too comfortable at U-High.
Brumfield, Nic Brossette, and Dylan Moses will be Tigers when their time comes in 2014, 2015, and 2017. And hope Bama don't get too comfortable in Louisiana for the 14 class.....We got Will Clapp Saturday and we will lock up Leonard Fournette and Gerald Willis before long.
"That was Death Valley,". "That was the place where opponents' dreams come to die. Coach Les Miles after the LSU - South Carolina game.
He just took a lot of plays off during games, and didn't always give maximum effort. He might turn into a great player. But the fact is the LSU staff backed off on him. Les Miles and most of LSU assistant coaches have kids that play football at Tim Williams high school. That is fact. And for most of BOL it wasn't an LSU/Bama battle.......Its was a LSU/Miami/Florida St. battle.
I'm not telling but it's bad
If you're not telling it has to be sick shit..
