Tennessee and Auburn also have one a piece since the BCS conception. Don't act it's just 3 teams that did it. Dude ... You have seriously flipped your rocker as of late...
The Big 12 doesn't accept it because it simply isn't true. We're ecstatic over how conference realignment has worked so far. Nebraska was obviously a huge loss and a team that can't be replaced. But (by order of importance), Missouri, Colorado and A&M? Are you kidding me? TCU and WVU have replaced those three teams, three times over. A&M has one of its best team in decades. Not ranked. TCU and WVU? Top 10, Top 20. When was the last time you finished in the Top 5? 1956? Yikes.
TCU is crap. We'd beat them by 30. Their 10 win season years are over.
WVU? Well, they gave up 60 points to Gaylor. They will do better than TCU and I can see them knocking off one of Texas or OU most years.
Agree with this. I didn't like it when we went to 12 teams/divisional play, but having a CCG was cool. 14 teams with a 8-game conference schedule is a joke. It's all about getting as many teams bowl eligible as possible.
"...this is the game plan, we have no alternate plan"-Erskine Russell
i agree, even with 14 we can still run the same rotating schedule as we have been running, but that takes away nonconference games and that takes away money
Oh look more pointless stats.
Head to head is the only thing that matters.
Bama 5 USC 2
Now move along.
Both may be crap, but each has accomplished more than your sorry ass team. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, sunshine.
24-0 against TCU in the last 24 games played. Half of their stadium is gone at halftime.
Upgrade and exciting for sure.
dude the sec has two top ten matchups coming up this weekend
go suck a tailpipe
literally every post you make has every made up stuff, hyperbole, or otherwise
are you some sort of troll mod?
What are you talking about? You mean opinions? hmmm.... That's weird. People giving opinions on a message board. Blasphemy!!!!!!
Get a grip and stop being so damn serious.
you're a twat
The hatred is strong with you. You really need a beer.
You talk out of your arse so much. Top teams avoid each other? You do realize that LSU will play 3 top 11 teams in the next 35 days and that is not including a up and coming aTm team.
Yea we really avoiding each other.
My alma mater is now a member of the SEC. At what point will I become a conference homer and feel the need to start threads about how great the conference is that my team belongs to?
Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
Lsu, bama, Florida all have the right to beat their own chests. The other 11 teams are coat-tail riders. To me, that's the annoying part.
The Buckeyes are going to need a big OOC game or 2 each season to make up for this dreadful conference schedule.
he wouldn't let his players pose in the Playboy All-American magazine edition, he said, "Cause you can't play football with an erection."
I've seen it all now. A WVU fan saying the top SEC teams don't play each other. That is laughable.
The last time WVU had their shot at one of the SEC big boys, it ended in a 47-21 blood bath. We have earned the respect that we are getting.
That said, I hope even SEC team not named Bama loses every game they play.
lullz at this homer fool.
I see WVU had a little fun after beating gaylor
Seven street fires set after West
All seven fires occurred late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
Yep, and they will be expelled and head back to their homes in New Jersey.

Are Jersey kids as Guido as I imagine them?
I agree with this... I honestly feel the SEC is the best conference in football...without a doubt... but its a perpetual thing that is really a perfect model for its leadership and the media. And I think its the most brilliant thing I've ever seen. Where the ACC has the dumbest leadership I've ever seen, the SEC has almost perfected social psychology.
1-Keep the big guns undefeated until they play each other.
-For example you will never catch Bama playing LSU at the beginning of the season.(FSU vs Clemson for example)...why does the SEC have so many undefeated teams? They have 5 straight weeks of SEC playing games that are not that important and it allowed UF to sneak into the limelight because they surprised everyone by being better than we thought(which helps the SEC)
-Now most people have already formulated their perception of strength and with 5 top 10 teams the SEC SOS schedule has allowed itself to maximize media attention.
-Its almost a burden of proof fallacy where the media says the SEC is the best and therefore puts it on you to prove otherwise but even when a team does beat an SEC team they are deemed weaker SEC schools so it does not disprove the SEC is best assertion.
2-Recruits hear the SEC is the best all the time, so they go to SEC schools. Which makes the SEC more talented and making the teams(especially the top teams) that much better.
3-With so many top 10 teams losing has less of an affect on your season so now losing to Bama at the end of the season still makes you a top 10 team or LSU. While the only thing these teams have going for them is perception of strength. And now with that perception all on SEC teams winning an SEC game makes you look that much better.
The SEC is top heavy is all a media ploy as well. Bama and LSU are the top teams but all it takes is for one of them to lose to another SEC team and then they say instead that X SEC team was under rated and they are automatically in title contention. And last years SEC/BCS game was the ultimate climax of the perfect model.
Walking up these hills you have no choice but to be fast!
I disagree. You only look at the way things are falling this year. The game that used to decide the SEC East was UF/UT and they always played the 3rd game of the season. Arky has been one of the better teams in the SEC the past 2-3 years and they played Bama the 3rd game of the year. Bama/LSU has always been played in early November...even when Bama was struggling to make a bowl game. We just happen to be the top dogs in the SEC right now. On Oct 6th, 4 of the top 5 ranked SEC schools will play each other this year. I don't think that was by design from the SEC office, it was just the way things fell this year. You act as though this is some mastermind scheme by the leaders of the conference.
Teams in the SEC continue to reach out and play teams from other conferences. We scheduled Michigan this year. Vat Tech next year. WVU the next year. We have a home and home with Mich State. LSU played both WVU and Oregon last year. Auburn played Clemson each of the last 3 years. These games are usually early in the season as well. There is no conspiracy. We simply line up and play ball. We just happen to be the best conference in the Country right now. I'm not sure why this is so hard for others to admit. It is what it is.
I also agree with you that you do have some big games too. Arky for example should have been a big game. But that is 1 game taking out only 1 of your supposed top teams. Arky and Bama would have played as unbeatens. Only leaving 1 blemished and still allowing for that Marquee matchup between a top LSU team. I don't think you are wrong to say the SEC does have some big games at the beginning but with the setup it still allows each team to play out a cupcake schedule in the beginning only playing the Vandys and Kentuckys of the conference. And then by week 5 your teams are all perceived to be good and losing to one another doesn't drop you much. Now I also state that you do have some good OOC games as well. The Michigan sucking factor was not Bama's fault nor Arkansas. But my only point is that the SEC as a whole always has its backup plan. If Bama had lost early to a Michigan...LSU would have been deemed the best team in the country and it would not have changed through most of the season. And if LSU lost to an eastern team then the East would have been deemed better than the West and the SEC would still be the top conference in football because they would always have a top 10 team considering the only losses would have come from top 10 teams.
-As for the mastermind scheme. I think they go with the flow and make decisions accordingly. Scheduling of conference opponents has a big difference on how your season plays out.
