Let me dumb this down for you a bit.
1. The 2012 Home Depot College Football Awards took place on Dec. 6, 2012.
2. Here is the trasncript from swarbricks presser. http://www.und.com/genrel/011613aaa.html
3. A few quotes from Swarbrick at his presser (he sounded ridiculous at this, by the way. pretty embarrasing if you ask anyone outside of South Bend)
Swarbrick: "On the morning of December 26th, very early morning, Manti called his coaches to inform them that, while he was in attendance at the ESPN awards show in Orlando, he received a phone call from a number he recognized as having been that he associated with Lennay Kekua. When he answered it, it was a person whose voice sounded like the same voice he had talked to, who told him that she was, in fact, not dead."
Q. He was at an awards show, the one in Orlando, ESPN, right?
Jack Swarbrick: Yes.
Q. Jack, did Manti receive any other communications following the incident at the ESPN awards show from the people involved in this?
Jack Swarbrick: Yes, they continued to be persistent. It wasn't a single contact.
4. go back to my previous post about Manti's post Dec 6 interviews.
Now could you please explain, intelligently, your point you are trying to prove without any facts?

BacardiBuckeye: "But in all honesty I like Penn State, I want to see Penn State do good that's why I check this board everyday." 4/2/14
You are gonna look so stupid lol... well you already do
I have only stated facts and have repeated I don't know if and how much he was involved. IF waiting for the facts to come out makes me look stupid,so be it.
Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, the man who has been publicly identified as being behind the Manti Te'o girlfriend hoax, called a church friend in early December crying and admitted to duping the Heisman finalist, the friend told Outside the Lines Thursday.
One more time...read the Forde Article
IF he really was duped, and If he got a call on the 6th from that number...how do you or anyone else expect him to come to at that moment the realization she was made up and he was duped for a year plus? All he knew over the next couple of days was either 1) Someone got her phone and was playing a horrible joke. 2) It really was her on the phone and she apparently lied about dying. The Forde article talks about him asking the person on the phone questions only Kekua would know. Obviously he still was not sure what was going on. Once again, assuming he really was duped.
I will make it easier for you and paste the relevant part.
The hoax started coming to light in early December, according to sources.
While attending the ESPN college football awards show in Orlando, Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick said Te'o got a call from the phone number he had associated with Kekua. Te'o was deeply disturbed by the call and suspected it was Kekua's purported sister. Although Te'o's parents were with him in Orlando, he did not inform them of the call, a source said.
The person kept calling and saying it was Lennay herself, and over the course of 10 days Te'o engaged the woman in several conversations.
"He was asking questions only Lennay would know," said the source, adding that phone records show multiple calls between Te'o and that number.
By the time first-semester classes were over at Notre Dame, Te'o was convinced Lennay Kekua was a hoax, the source said. He went home to Hawaii for Christmas and told his mother about it on Christmas Eve. The day after Christmas, he informed defensive coordinator Bob Diaco, head coach Brian Kelly and athletic director Jack Swarbrick. Upon returning to campus, Te'o met with Notre Dame officials on Dec. 27 and told them he had never met his girlfriend.

Yes we are supposed to believe Swarbrick. After all his Athletic department sent a team to interview a 2006 alum that had set up an online fund raising website to collect money in the name of Te'o and Lennay. This interviewed happened after the BCS title game, and Swarbrick claims everyone knew for sure it was a hoax on Dec. 26th.
Yes believing anything coming from ND right now and any article quoting his press-conference is a study in stupidity.
Ok so lets for example this is all a hoax. He was duped, he knew nothing.
He went on national TV COUNTLESS times and talked about the love of his life, how they met at Stanford, how she would come visit. HE IS STILL A LIAR and he talked about it non-stop to continue to get attention and publicity for it. The guy is SICK. Regardless of if he did it or not.
Well claiming Te'o knew before the interviews is based off of Swarbrick's comments as well. I guess we cannot believe Te'o ever found out since Swarbrick was the one creating the timeline of what happened when. If Swarbrick was lying about it then why would he not have just claimed Te'o didn't find out until after the bowl game?
I am fairly certain he has lied as well. As much as he lied about the whole thing or as little as he embellished some details of their relationship or somewhere in between. I also know many comments attributed to him both on this board and in the media have been false. One on here claimed he said she met his dad in Hawaii. When I asked for a link because I have not read that one yet, he provided a link that said Te'os dad said she would come to Hawaii to meet Te'o. Obviously neither are correct, but who really said what? Te'o has to come out and tell his side. The longer he waits the more guilty he looks. One report said his agent is wanting him to wait until Feb 23rd to speak.
The things I heard him say that were lies were
1) Meeting at Stanford
2) Them talking every night
3) She coming to Hawaii to see him (not his Dad)
4) Her family being SO supportive
5) His Dad talking to her on the phone
He never looked for a death notice, sent flowers, tried to speak with her parents after she died? There are about 1000000 red flags that point to him being a lier and in on the hoax. Even if he wasn't in on it why do we start believing him now since he lied countless times through the season.
Not sure, ask Jack. He was the one that created the timeline that punches even more holes into Te'o's account. Not too mention taking less than 24 hours for more facts to come out that basically prove either Swarbrick was lying or he's incompetent.
Because, like you, he be stupid, man.
Well supposedly there were multiple people that would talk to him claiming they were her family. Her supposed brother is mentioned as being the one that called him. If there was a female involved which if we assume he was duped and then was called on the 6th...there had to be. IF there was a female she could have very easily spoke with the father as well. That is just it, he has to come out and answer these questions, release his phone records, etc.
Yep so he lied but he idiotically lied and created a false timeline that "punches even more holes". Pretty stupid for such an accomplished lawyer.
Haha. That ain't happening.
after watching the NCG playback earlier today i'm begining to wonder if Te'o is a real LB.
That is your right, just like it is every Aggie's right to wonder if the Tide's entire defense was real. I think Te'o was quite distracted, not that I think it would have changed the outcome of the game. Irish got manhandled up front.
Haha...the cover up has begun.
Te'o is a fraud
Wait, according to the board ND has been covering it up since Dec 26th if not from the beginning.
If they think people are gonna believe it now because this dude said it then all I can do is
ask what the Aggies thought just before AJ's pass to Bell fell short and allowed him to be tackled at the 5.
better yet, ask em' what they thought when they were at home watching the Nati on the flat screen.
I will try and help you
1- He may have said that just because he was embarrassed of the fact they hadn't met yet. Just my speculation.
2- Why not? Clearly this clown could have had a girl in on hoax too. She played the gf part.
3- What if he invited her a couple times, and she accepted, but cancelled at last minute. From what we are hearing with other reported victims, this happened to them as well. Not many people would be to excited to tell people that their boyfriend/girlfriend keep cancelling last minute.
4- They could have had a few people involved. All playing different characters. Not difficult when Manti would never see them.
5- Simple. Same girl that played gf.
One more thing. A Stanford football player said that Manti asked him after a game if he knew her. Mentioned she went to school there. Player said no. Really sounds like somebody in on his own hoax? C'mon people. The witch hunt is clearly because so many people think Manti got awards he didn't deserve, and he plays for ND, which we know how people feel about ND.
3 time POTW
Let me try and help you.
Three years this was going on.
Either Te'os butt buddy is the most evil and manipulative person this side of Jerry Sandusky (with Te'o being the most gullible dumbshit in the history of the universe) or Manti Te'o was in on it.
Plain and simple.
Does that help?
