If he makes 7 mill and is allowed to miss some of training camp. Is he worth it?
If he plays like he did last season, I'd say yes. The more weapons in that offense the better IMO.

I don't really care what the Falcons do but that seems like a lot cap money to waste on an almost 40 year old guy. The Falcons have weapons On offense. They need defensive help a whole lot more.

coming off another All-Pro/Pro-Bowl season
since when was that a bad year?
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
that was my point - since when did it become "wasted money". he had another great year and is still making plays.
I didn't think Super Bowl teams had guys playing in the Pro-Bowl...
If they have the cap room, why not? It doesn't hurt them down the line. The guy is still playing like one of the top TEs in the game. He's easily the GOAT.
Lol what a stupid move if the Falcons pay that much
Steve Spurrier is a God, and Mark Richt worships him
Why? Assuming they have the room, what's the problem with it?
Need to spend that 7million on D,not a grandpa at TE
You mean the "grandpa" that was one of the best TEs last season?
Dumb post is dumb.
Huddles are for rookies.
Will not happen again .
The Falcons gave up the 5th least amount of points per game.... it seems like you don't know what you are talking about.
A lot of money at his age, granted ... but the guy will produce, be a tremendous presence in the locker room & and Ryan loves him.
Can't help thinking about the old saying "better to trade/release a player one year too early than one year too late." But he's still in great shape ... he may be the one exception to the rule.
nah. it'd be worth it. he's still an elite tight end and i'm saying that knowing that there isnt many in the nfl with his skill set.
